oh, the Crazy Girl School ..... they are good...and it is evidenced by not having any 'normal' classes

They don't have Affliation students coming from Primary affliated schools, hence there is no need to have 'normal' class. Raffels Girls secondary has no affliaton as well & they don't have 'Normal' class...

you are implying that affiliated primary schools produces students for the normal stream that the affiliated sec school must cater for

no normal class is not an indication of not having a feeder (affiliated) primary school, eg MGS (sec), SNGS, and SCGS all do not have normal classes eventhough they have feeder primary school

for a non affiliated sec sch to be without normal class, it means all classes are express / special (these days the \"special\" stream is merged with the express stream)[/quote]PLMGS is a case in point... Runs normal class & have affliation.

Ofcourse best of schools like SCGS & MGS would be able to attract best of best , then where is need to run Normal class!!

SOTA is for those 'die-hard' to do career in music & arts etc

MGS is still mainstream school with music elective, where you can do A level or IB (after merging with ACSI).....and you are not tied down to music forever

Also understand that if want to transfer from SOTA to mainstream school, has to retain one year, as SOTA main focus is not academic, even though they do 'normal subjects'....but curriculum is geared towards performance etc

I have a friend who is in SOTA. She mentioned that only if you are very

interested in the arts scene and have a talent for it, then should you consider

joining it. Some of her classmates who are not 100% sure if they want to

carve out a career in the arts are those who are now struggling in classes.
