Pei Hwa Presbyterian Primary

Jennifer:
Pei Hwa is a co-ed school. More cuts will lead to more tears and stress for parents living around here. During my son's year for P1 registration (2006), we could still get in within 1km, but not anymore. Going single-session is painful for those who are not in the school yet.markfch:
I always thought they are reducing P1 intake as a means to go single session?
I think the yearly reduction is not agressive enough to meet MOE's deadline of going single session. -
Exam dates are out for P1-P5
Oral 4th – 7th Oct
EL P1 14th Oct
HCL P1 15th Oct
Break 19th – 22nd Oct PSLE marking
EL P2 26th Oct
Maths 27th Oct
HCL P2 28th Oct
Science 29th Oct -

Sigh ..... Will check with my dd's form teacherYtd, my P3 boy told me Mrs Foo gave a talk last Fri, saying the sch will be moving to a holding sch in 2012 and there is to be some expansion going on at the existing site so that the sch can go single session.
Ask him moving to where or for how long, he said he did not know (maybe Mrs Foo did not mention?)
Anyone heard sth similar? -

My DD said that Mrs Foo said that it would be 2016 she would use the school's funds to renovate the school - turn the school into single session according to Government's plan.Ytd, my P3 boy told me Mrs Foo gave a talk last Fri, saying the sch will be moving to a holding sch in 2012 and there is to be some expansion going on at the existing site so that the sch can go single session.

Lucky she is in Sec 2 by then.
Anyway, I don't know how accurate is this news. -

My dd was not in school last Friday. However she mentioned a couple of weeks back that her FT told the class that they will be placed in a holding school in 2014 (my dd's P6 year ). Mrs Foo could have announced an updated plan on Friday during my dd's absence.
If it's like what comfy's dd had mentioned, the school would have completed reno and be ready for single-session by 2016 (government's plan) within that two years.
markfch, hopefully by 2016, the school would have gone single-session and your ds's PSLE should not be affected.

Agreed.
When my elder boy entered pri sch, we got into BPPS w/o balloting (within 1km) as the no. of placement was 480. Now within 1 km also need to ballot. -
Hopefully, the sch has a more definite plan and can inform us soon.
