Hmm...is there a Chinese picture dictionary book? Got to check again but it sounds vaguely familiar. And oh yes, the Chinese oral textbook for P1 & P2 level. Kiddo came home with the order form and I too thought the school will use it as part of curriculum. But from the looks of it, its meant for home practice

Hi mummies,

All these books, dictionary and cards that u all mentioned that were not used, i can always get them later from the book shop should the child need it later, right? Honestly if that is the case, i thought maybe not to get them 1st.
I have registered my dd at Polaris Junior next year, now thinking if i should withdraw her from CC in Nov and start her in Polaris in Dec. At least not so many changes when she starts school in Jan. Any parents with children in Polaris?

Hi, yes. Those textbooks are easily found in bookstore like Popular. I have not seen the cards though. If you need a set in the future do let me know as I have one set extra. However no hurry.

My eldest in with PJ now. 2nd one will be in next year too (just like yours). PJ's orientation will be on Sat 13 Nov which I believe you should be receiving the letter soon. They do allow kids to start with their student care programme from Dec onwards which I will do so as mine is on kindergarten programme which will end in mid Nov

When buying the books, I asked the bkshop guy which r the optional items & didn’t buy them. So only left some lined exercise bks unused.


Btw, when is the next Chinese spelling? DS didn’t bring back the new list so i hope it’s not too soon after the hol.

Any idea what’s the full score for Chinese show & tell, 朗读 & 造句? DS’ evaluation forms suprisingly came w scores.

DS’ form teacher had told his class to go EVERYWHERE in school, in groups. I tot it’s a sound advice & hope u would remind your children too.

Yes, there will b new dance studio, band room & outdoor running track. Expected to be completed by Dec 2012.

Thanks for sharing. Will remind my child about it.

But I am sure its going to noisy! Hope that efforts are made to minimise the noise pollution else it would be very disruptive for the children.
