      :?: My DS loves this 'tong tong' tang and we use to get it from Bedok Interchange for him till recently the uncle disappeared.. 😢

      Can anyone tell me where can I find this addictive chinese chewy 'sweet' please!

        i call them Ding Ding Sweet…

        Suntec outside Toys R Us got a stall sell…

        United Square basement outside food court sell… part of a food fair… i think most food fairs i will see this too… sold together with the 糖葱popiah??

            i seldom see old uncle selling this liao.. in the past they will find a nice place to stand, set up their wooden stand, sit the metal round pan and ding ding ding away.. so nice..


            den the packet will not be sealed.. u just pay and grab 1 pack.. now all zip lock bags somehow i miss the old style.. 🙂

              The uncle at Bedok uses a small plastic container and his sweet is really yummy..

                many yrs ago for this old auntie sell muah chee outside yishun bus interchange… wah just $1 and real big packet and nice and chewy leh… illegal hawker lar i suppose… now oso dun see her liao…


                i find some 丁丁糖 not as nice leh… dunno, maybe food from our memory is never easy to recover??

                  Those sold at food fairs by FT sometimes really sub-standard..

                  Either not fresh or taste funny..
                  I threw away those 'rocks' the last time i bought from Novena Square food fair.. 😛

                    There's a booth at Heartland Mall (Kovan) selling this. Quite nice. My students like it. $1 a pack. Not very hard and no funny smell.


                    I miss the days when my brother and I will push the table to the window and do our homework there while waiting for the 'ding ding' uncle and the 'bell' uncle to arrive! Cos my parents will give us money and ask us to run down to get some 🙂

                    And we'll race down very excitedly 😄
