Hi all,


Thinking about my girl's(born in 2007) primary registration now though she will be registering for 2014 year's P1

Currently working as an observer in my NC, hopefully will be an executive member before next year.

When registration in 2013, I m sure will be an executive member more than 1 year. So I will be qualified under phase 2B.

I am aming at Rulang PS, but living only 1-2Km to School. From past history, how is my chance of registation under 2B? will need ballot?

can I just check if I can enter the CCMC route, I need to serve at least 1 yr as EM before I can qualify to apply under Phase 2b?


If the GRC I volunteer in is not the area I stay, is it still possible to go under 2b for a sch I reside in? (assumming I am a CCMC member)

If you have read the previous threads, you will realise that as a CCMC member you will be under 2B for the GRC you served and the GRC you reside.

thanks a lot. seems there is no need to ballot within 1-2Km in phase 2B for the past few years, don't know how will be the next 2 years.

I think now I should be more active to obtain the executive membership!

My family and I are staying in my mother's HDB house. Separately, I own another HBD house. Can I serve the RC in my mother's GRC ? It is based on \"place of residence\" or \"place of ownership\" ??

I was raised up in my mother's house and hence would rather serve the residents here than at my own GRC. I am staying with my parents because they are getting old.

If the RC does not mind and I do get the letter of recommendation, does the primary school mind ?

I believe PA/RC will follow the address in your NRIC... same as the pri sch.

If you are staying at your Mum's house, then your NRIC should reflect that address and you should have no problems volunteering in that RC, as they follow the address on your NRIC. Note then that you will only be allowed to register in Phase 2B in any primary school within the constituency that your Mum lives in.

Rightfully, you are not allowed to serve in the RC of the area that is different from the address on your NRIC. My friend was a RC treasurer. Because he moved to Jurong, he has to resign from his RC.

It is not up to the RC but PA. PA has to allow your appointment in the RC. If diffrerent from the area in your NRIC, I guess it would be difficult to get a RC appointment in the Executive Committee.

The primary school only looks that the letter PA gives you when you apply for phase 2B.
