PlayfulFairy : we’re using Dowell. you may want to call them at 64481270, and ask for Sebastian Leong.
Great sharing hapydino. Totally agreed.
Maintaining a good aircon system is important, and the reasonable money spent is well worth it.
Well maintained aircon system means better air for the family (especially those with allergies to air impurities), more efficient power usage, less noise and less hassle. -
So far, I’ve used these 2 companies and I’m happy with their service. Boom Aircond and Harvey Norman.
Cheers, -
I had used many different company before and at last found that All Best Air-Conditioning is reasonable. Why did I say is reasonable is because they will not recommend unnecessary job, price reasonable, and I got them to install a set of air-con 3 years ago and they did a good job. Pipings were installed logically, as short as possible and neat. I got a resales flat and you cannot imagined how the previous job were done. Drain pipe very very long any things stuck in between cannot be suck out. Piping layout very funny showed out in the middle of wall, so placing of furniture also having problem. You can call them at 62596266.
A friend of mine using Gain City and she is happy with their service. You can consider too. -
I am happy with CoolServe.

We also used CoolServe b4 and are happy with them.

Hi, can feedback on your Mitsubitshi airconditioner?I have got 3 Daikin system2 at home, 2 already down after 5-6 years of usage, so I am very disappointed with the durability of Daikin aircon.
I enaged a coolserve serviceman to come down last weekend to give me a quotation for my aircon replacement. I am changing from Daikin Inverter to Mitsubitshi Inverter. He says that Mitsubitshi aircon is by far the quietest in the market and eaiser to maintain/self clean. Hopefully Mitsubitshi aircon can last longer than my old Daikin.
I remember our first national panasonic aircon lasted more than 10 years and was still going strong when we sold off our apartment (many years back).
My National really needs to be replaced now. TIA your sharing. -
My prev owner installed Daikin…stayed for 5 years and after I took over, I had to get the whole system changed as the split unit in master bedroom was spoilt. Changed to Mitsubishi inverter with multi-split. Touchwood, served me pretty well for more than 8 years with maintenance every 6 months, due to daily usage…1 unit in each room. Wanted to install another unit in hall but cannot bcos old flat cannot support.
From previous experience, i do not sign contracts with aircon compannies. I tell them that if i need to assess their service first before deciding. Anyway i think 3 monthly servicing of air con is not necessary if you clean it frequently on your own. If they need to do more, as in your case, i will always ask them what is the total amount including all the labour charges and gst before deciding. If it is too expensive, i will tell them that i will need to discuss with hubby and may also need to get 2nd opinion.
I have to agree with you - aircon contracts seem like a terrible idea to me, after trying it once. A three monthly service contract is pretty arbitrary, your aircon will need servicing more or less often depending on how you actually use it - probably a lot less often, in most cases!
I like the approahch i read about from http://www.igloo.com.sg about http://www.igloo.com.sg/booking/annual - just book when you need it, instead of signing up and handing over your money before they've delivered on their service! -
We have had a Daikin System 4 for 10.5 yrs. No major problems. We did have leakage tho'. But that was due to the installation rather than the brand of the aircon.
Our usuage is moderate to heavy, especially in the last 5-6 years due to the kids. We use this company called Poh Meng for servicing. It has been about 7 years since we engaged them. $320.00 per year. Fair amount. Service has been generally good. Their recommendation(s) thru the years have generally been sound. The guy that comes down has been the same for the last 5 years. That helps.
We use Cool Serve for another place that we have. That place has 9 units  ! Its about $650.00 per year. They were the company servicing when we bought the place. We kept them on after the expiry of their contract as Poh Meng couldnt quote something lower. The place is tenanted and everything is dealt with by the agent. I haven't heard any complaints for 2 years, so everything is alright, I reckon.
