Think my hubby won't even consider luxury car even if he can afford it.

To him, car is just a liability. He might as well put the $ to property/ stock. Too practical :?

The black-colored top changed to light grey, white almost.

When I brought it to scrap, the technician tried to open the top, and it fell to the ground *crash*[/quote]

I like your sense of humour !! :rotflmao:

Mine also will not consider luxury car at the moment.
Makes no sense unless got a lot of spare cash.
He only spends 1-2 hours per day in the car, so no point.
Also he is the only one in the car most of the time.

hi loner, comparing peugeot 307 and merc coupe is not really apple-to-apple. One is a convetible, the other is a coupe. Specs/Space wise they are very different.

If we insist, then the most levelled comparison would be 307 against CLC 180, in terms of cost, engine size and power. Personally I would not go for a french car

Between the 2, I will choose a Merc.

But if can have other choices, I will look at BMW or the Passat Coupe.

And for cabrio, I prefer hard top less noisy. But cabrio not very practical, will end up with the top up most of the time since difficult to drive when hair is being whipped around.

got wind deflector, right ? Maybach has

Dun know about that. My hair was still whipping around when DH was driving a BMW cabrio last time, that was b4 kids. My retriever loved it though. Thing is you will find that you will hardly put the top down cos firstly, it's hot in Singapore, 2ndly traffic is heavy so you will be breathing in exhaust all the time, you won't want that if you have kids in the car. 3rdly, with the top down, you can forget about any conversation, well can still have lah, but must shout whatever you want to say. We had that car for a grand total of 9mths, sold it off when we had our 1st kid. Safety more important.

Actually, if you dun mind spending a bit of money, go rent a cabrio for a week just to get a feel of what it is like using it as a daily mode of transport for you and your kids.

Don't hv so much money to buy 3rd property lah! Just a little extra/spare cash he has .... Anyway, with the COE price going up again, wonder is it a good time to buy a second car? Any good suggestion out there...

                :?:
                Hi Loner
You mean you already have 2nd property lah! hahaha
Jokes aside, it is not the best time to buy a brand new car due to the rising COE. 2nd hand is better.

Yup, whether the car is a practical buy or not, better use more of DH's money before he gives it to someone else! kidding!

I support you loner! Buy Buy Buy! ...wish my DH had half the spare cash your DH has...
