      Hi Jennifer,

Good question...I've no idea at the moment. I bought it when the vendor set up a store in my son's school at book sale. I'm not sure if the brand is currently being carried by the major shoe stores as I've not checked them out lately (no need to at the moment haha). Would need to when the time comes.

Your entry prompted me to call them up as I kept the receipt. I was given the number tel: 6555 2398 but no one picked up the line in the past hour.

      :-):-)

My boy's Bata shoes lasted about half a year. In January this year I bought a new brand called Raymax. The seller claimed it'd last longer as it is stitched, not just glued (like those from Bata). True enough it is still in acceptable condition, coming term 4. Looks like it is indeed more durable...

Where is this Raymax available? TIA.

I will keep a lookout for Raymax. 😄

I only bought one pair of Nike school shoes for my kid this year and she has been wearing it since Jan. I feel that it is worth the money as the shoes last longer and the soles provide good friction. My child had a few incidents of slipping down while walking on wet ground when wearing a pair from Bata last year.

Problem is I need to source for one with laces for next year as school does not allow velcro straps for older kids and I don’t remember Nike has those. Can anyone recommend a place (no Bata please!) to buy reliable shoes with laces?

Adidas & Nike have pure white shoes with laces. I've bought them for my nephews before. They really do last longer, especially for the boys who are always running around and playing during recess.

For those with velcro, Reebok ones are quite comfy and lasting…

They get snapped up real fast too…

My child wears a pair of shoes every year....slow growth rate so saves money for me...

Nike white with velcro....best invention ever for convenient and easy to maintain shoes.

Ours seems to last only 1 term… despite the brand. So far the kids had Bata and the recent ones being Adidas and Nike. I think the issue is the the way my maid cleans the shoes. She likes to use all her ox strength to scrub… this led to high wear and tear.

Just last week, we bought him a New Balance (around $60) and with leather. We educated her about not soaking too long and also don’t use her ox strength to scrub the leather as it’s not necessary. Hopefully it last longer now.

always buy the pvc or mock leather type for easy maintenance. just wipe and never wash the inside.
