Is it true that average PSLE results for KCPPS for the TOP 2 classes is 240 -250 only? That’s what a friend told me.

Hi, we should get together. The PSVG has autonomy and is strictly a volunteer group. Parent should form a group to discuss academic/teacher and etc. issues with the school board.
My son is in P2 and my daughter will join her bro in P1 next year. -
Hi all

pooh25, where do you stay? if you are staying withing 1km, shouldn't need to do PV.Hi all

but u may want to try walk in to sch office to ask. by right, must register by 1 July. KCPPS doesn't really have long list of PV, so if you have a specialised skill to offer, likely they want you. look for the VP. -
Dear Parents, Just wondering if any parents here have had experience choosing between Kuo Chuan Presbyterian at Bishan and YangZheng at Serangoon Ave 3. I think I may need to ballot for both as I live within 1km-2km of Kuo Chuan, and my mother (caregiver) live within 1 km of YangZheng. Please share your thoughts! Thank you. Regards

can anyone advise on the linkage btwn KCPPS’ awards and their academics?
is there a slight link at all? coz quite difficult to totally skip out the other when looking at their results…
KCPPS is super higher and amongst the top 20 primary schools in SG in terms of awards but academics, it is not even near top 40…on the other hand, Yang Zheng doesn’t have many awards to boast off but their academics, in terms of churning out top scorers were consistent in the recent years…
can someone advise how to choose btween the 2 schools?? im looking at these 2 and Tao Nan, which I know is out of the 2 schools’ league.
all of which i am eligible for either phase 2A (KCPPS), 2B (Tao Nan) and 2C (Yang Zheng)… -

i am aware that the school will be needing volunteer parents to do buddy reading with some P2'S and P3's from January, and with the P1's from ard March. They meet with the children once or twice a week for ard 45min each time. all reading materials are provided.
i hv been spearheading the kcpps buddy-reading grp for the last 2yrs. send me yr name and h/p no, along with e days and times that u are available. i will see what i can do.

Dear Parents of KCPPS,
wonder if any of you bought the creative e-dict from the school bkshop yet ? is it the latest version ?
does the chinese teachers mind if pupils buy the besta one instead ?
anyone know which is better ? thanks !
(ps : there are a couple of versions of besta and creative ones that I read about in the internet, but its kinda confusing) -

go for the creative one. the chinese teachers recommend it. it is easier for the teacher to teach the class if all have the same kind of dictionary. the one selling at the school book shop is the moe-approved one. don't buy any kind of models.Dear Parents of KCPPS,

Dear KCPPS parents,
I am a new KCPPS parent, and my DS will be going to P1 in Jan 2011.
We have been going to the uniform vendor at Toa Payoh and the bookstore at the school premises to buy textbooks, uniforms and PE attire on several occasions.
However, much to our disappointment and anxiety, some books are out of stocks, uniforms are not ready (dont have the size, left our number and details, yet no 1 called us), and PE shorts out of stocks too! As at today, 29 Dec 2010…unbelievable! We have been going personally and calling many times for the past 3 weeks…
Is any one working at all at KCPPS?
The poorly managed school admin is giving new parents a lot of unnecessary and undue stress. My friends’ kids going to other schools have already bought all their school items at the orientation itself…in a ready-pack, just pay up and go.
HELP!! Any new KCPPS parent in the same situation??
