Hi
anyone had a part time maid who can work once a week in Serangoon area to recommend ? Having baby soon, and want to spend less time doing housework :?: -
Hi,
My new transferred maid after working with me for 3 weeks, run away to embassy and she left a note saying I commented her cooking is no good and nobody in her entire life has said that.. I was shocked as I was smiling to ask her not to cook the same things days after days. Later I found out that she has been on the run a few times.. My maid agency insisted I have to pay her airticket home.. The whole event make me feel like sponsoring her a 3 weeks all paid holiday in Singapore..
Anyway I am urgently looking for PT maid.. Have decided not to have any more maid as my kid need to learn to be more independent.. Any good lobang please let me know.. Really appreciate..

For partitme maids, can go the web site below:
http://www.maidlibrary.com.sg/
Click 'Part Time and Confinement'. Need to fill in your details. Then the agency will contact you.
This is how I hired my parttime maid.
Usual charges are one time registration fee and $12/hr (minimum 3 hrs)
I call one once a week for 3 hrs for ironing, sweeping, mopping, dusting, kitchen sink, bathrooms etc. Fortunately so far the maid has been consistent and turns up regularly. Also when regular maid cannot come, can request the agency to find a replacement. So far happy with the service. -
My husb and I has been thinking of hiring FT maid but we often hear the news of unreliable maids to the extend of abusive.I wanted to let my mum whom has been taking care of our gals (6 the eldest) religiously to be more relax and enjoy her old days (65 years old). With the scenarios that had been encountered by employers, I am soooo reluctant to get maids. I don't want to add burden in my family by bring in outsider to our family and to care for their needs and answerable to their deeds.
Taking PT maids, no doubt it comes and go, your household is spick and span. But my concern is who can care for my kids. Cook meals for them, pick them up from sch and supervise their sch work. These are more imp besides the household chores which I am used to doing it myself. I am FT working mum with crazy shift duties (@ times I feel I am having PT family). My kids have never been placed in child care centre and to mention after sch care is a big NO NO. Imagine when I grow old they put me in Senior citizen home using the excuse i am too busy for you. The efforts of taking care really counts you know.
I wonder if local home maker would like to be nanny, just like what my mum did for me when I was a little gal and we have gd family bonding with both families. Any comments??
