Thinking of which school to teach at to gain that priority? -
Okie, a hypothetical scenario:
Any constructive input on this would be much appreciated.
If the parent is posted to work in the school of choice, in the midst of PV or after completing the PV, what then?
1) Does the parent have to continue with PV (if haven't clocked in the no of hrs) as well as work in the school?
2) Can the parent have a choice to do both PV and work in the school to better his/her chances of registering the child?
3) Does that mean that the parent can apply under phase 2B (if no of hours already successfully clocked in) assuming if phase 2A2 is unsuccessful??

From what I know, at Phase 2A2 (based on historical records), it’s quite ‘safe’.
So assuming this scenario where the parent has already started PV, then become a staff of that school, I think you can’t clock in anymore hours under ‘PV’ as whatever you do in the school will be under ‘staff’ capacity instead. -

Actually just considering all possible legal options at the moment
My time with my DS is first priority though. I want to be there for him as much as I can. -

I was considering that possibility too. But when I asked MOE, they said not possible cos I'm a Secondary school teacher, not a Primary school teacher.Actually just considering all possible legal options at the moment

Unless I teach in a 'full school'.

If register under Phase 2A2 (parent is staff teacher of that primary school), it’s definitely higher priority than 2B and 99% confirmed of a place.

mrswongtuition,
Do you think its due to demand and supply of teachers???
I had a friend who was a secondary school trained teacher who, after a few years, requested to be transferred to a primary school. Her request was granted and she is happily teaching there. But this was more than 5 years ago ....
Anyway, me going back to work will be a major decision, because when I left, it was with the intention that it would be a long haul. So its something that I have to ponder very very deeply about because as mentioned, I want to be there for my DS. Also, DH is fine with the idea of me remaining a SAHM.
Errrrrrrrmmmm, sorri, a bit out of touch here - what is 'full school' :?
