Until the forensic results are out, i thinkly it is not fair to say that \"somebody has to take the blame\".


I mean a healthy adult can also suddenly die - naturally - and post chkg, found out that there are actually probs with their heart/ internal organs etc. I remember reading the papers b4 on such cases.

As responsible netizens, we should refrain from sensationalizing the matter through baseless speculations until there are further factual findings arising from post-forensic & coroner's inquiry (for all we know, the family might also be reading this and it won't be nice if our comments add more grieve & hurt to them & make them think & act irrationally)

I also agree that the findings should be made known .... That said, my heart also goes out to the staff who first discovered the poor child - her heart must be stomping day & night... and I am sure it hasn't been easy for her.

Let's hope the family will be able to find closure soon & will be able to move on from here.... God Bless abundantly.

Baby dies at daycare centre

SEREMBAN - BARELY a fortnight after celebrating Hari Raya with their only child, a couple here was horrified to find out their baby had died just a few hours after dropping her off at a daycare centre.

Three-month-old Nor Azwa Safrina Hairul Anuar was pronounced dead at the Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital after she was found unconscious by the daycare centre operator in Taman Paroi Jaya yesterday.

It is learnt that the baby's teacher parents - Norhida Md Noor, 26 and Hairul Anuar Abdul Aziz, 30 - sent their daughter to the daycare centre at 7am on their way to work. Mr Hairul's mother Zadariah Ismail, 57, said she was shocked to receive a phone call from one of the employees at the daycare centre at 11.30am informing her that her granddaughter was unconscious.

'The employee said she had gone to pick up Nor Azwa from the cradle for her bath and found something amiss as the child did not respond. 'She immediately called us. When we got there, I was horrified to find my grandchild's body had already turned cold,' she said tearfully.

Mrs Zadariah and her husband then took Nor Azwa to a nearby clinic where doctors tried to resuscitate her before rushing her to the TJH but their efforts were in vain. Mrs Zadariah said her son and daughter-in-law were too distraught to speak to reporters.

'We are shocked over what had happened. 'My son and his wife had brought Nor Azwa to our house just last night. I had no idea it was going to be the last time I saw her alive,' she said, adding that the cause of the child's death was still unknown and the family were awaiting results of the post-mortem. Deputy OCPD Supt Mohd Yusoff Awang said investigations were underway. -- THE STAR/ANN

My condolences to the family too…

but what attracted my attention was that the 18mth old arrived at the hospital at noon. So incident happen before noon and I would assume after lunch… the timing is quite early as compared to my kids CCC…
