Leanne:
Astar booklets are really good, as for this new EPH book, the Maths questions (topical) are similar to those commonly found in Paper 2 of school exam papers. I think the questions in EPH book are of medium level of difficulty that are good for routine practice to serve as a benchmark for P5 level in general.Hi James,
May I know is this in a test paper form or topical. What is the difference between this book and A star booklets? Is this eph book more for preparation for pri five sa2 as compared with the a star series?thanks.James Ang:
try this new book by EPH, Improve Your Thinking Skills in Maths Primary 5, Joyce Tan, $5.90 at Popular Bookshop.

Hi LeanneHello All
How are you preparing your children in preparing sa2 maths?
Hey Brenda, is your dd doing the A star booklets or just the past year papers in preparation for the coming sa2?thanks
leanne
For the A*booklets, the \"ratio\" and \"fraction\" we temporary stop at the section - Challenge Yourself Section (10 questions each). We will do another booklet \"percentage\" soon.
For the past year paper we only focus on Section C. So far 5 sets completed, 2 sets left a few questions and 3 more new sets to do.
We slow down a bit as I believe her form teacher will also let them practice on some other school past year papers since they already completed the last topics of Maths (cube and Cubid).
As such, I think the preparation should be sufficient.
Thank you. -

Is not that. I keep all these to do in a later stage as a revision if necessary. -

Hi Leanne,
Look forward to chatting to you. My DD's teacher recommended 'Challenging Maths Problems Made Easy' by Ammiel Wan Chee Hong for SA2 revision. This book mainly targets problem sums but is very detailed with answers and working out. If only my DD has the time to get started.
