Hi Leanne,
Look forward to chatting to you. My DD's teacher recommended 'Challenging Maths Problems Made Easy' by Ammiel Wan Chee Hong for SA2 revision. This book mainly targets problem sums but is very detailed with answers and working out. If only my DD has the time to get started. -
James Ang:
try this new book by EPH, Improve Your Thinking Skills in Maths Primary 5, Joyce Tan, $5.90 at Popular Bookshop.
Hi James,
Thanks for your recommendation. Will check it out. -

If the questions in the mock maths test papers are comparable to the past year papers then I think it serve the purpose.
I seldom see all these may be they already completed in class? Only remembered before CA2 they did 4 sets of pass year test papers from other school. -

hi all,
same here, this year i can see my ds coming home feeling tired. in fact the assessment books we brought are not able to do much maybe just 10% cos there are quite a lot of school homework. Anyway i intend to let him do them during nov/dec holidays, no choice i guess. -

Actually by doing all these mock SA2 papers indeed your child already well prepared for the exam.
My dd homework today (not supplementary class):
Maths - 1 page (two problem question only)
Science - 15 MCQ and 5 questions (new topics they teach)
CL - 1 comprehension with 7 questions
As such, I have concern that their workload is not much. -
I would say that is too little. An exam paper a day for weekdays and 2 for weekends plus a small amount of other supplements should be enough to last the whole afternoon, leaving the evening for revision and some relaxation time. This is the schedule I follow, and itβs not stressing me out. But of course, itβs different for every child (I am EM1)
