do you know the total mg of EPA and DHA for childlife? The daily requirement is combi of 500mg. Realised that not a lot of fish oil has a total combi of 500mg leh. Maybe I will check it out at GNC too.

DS's PD recommended this http://www.naturalhealthyconcepts.com/finest-pure-fish-oil-P7-p-pharmax.html
Each 5ml serving contains 750mg of DHA and 1050mg of EPA for a total of 1800mg!! Is that too much for the child? Or is there such a thing as too much?
Maybe I'll give them 2.5ml instead.... -

Wah that's amazing. I only make fruit juice and I find it troublesome! Now I'm inspired! Will check out the one at Tangs. My boy likes yogurt (some flavours only) and hubby loves it, so I'm sure he'll be v pleased to hear about this!
Wow, I am so impressed :ugogirl: :udawoman:mrswongtuition:
Just share with you why I got this crazy notion of making yogurt. My boy was 100% BF until 18mths old. I was very unwilling to buy commercial yogurt as it's full of flavouring and it's made from cow's milk (kids under 1yo might be allergic).
So, I tried making yogurt from my BREASTMILK. First few times were flops.
Then we got success but not consistent. So we decided to shop for a yogurt maker
Thanks for all your sharing. The one at Tangs sounds good and affordable. Will probably go check it out. Thanks

i believe supplements is important for children. Both my kid 3 and 5 had been on regular supplements for almost 2years, and it gives me so much joy in seing them growing up.

You can check with your PD or read the label (they'll put their age recommendation normally).
I started my son on Scotts Emulsion 1st before multivtamins.
On a different note, I'm having trouble getting him to chew his multivitamins.
Don't quite like the syrup kind (find some of the brands a bit dodgy because have never heard of them).
Currently, my mom will crush the chewable & add to the emulsion that he happily downs (despite the fishy smell... yuck) - I kind of outsoure feeding supplements to my son to my mom.
It's really a wonder that she can get him to happily swallow the emulsion!
But, it's a real chore to crush the multivits all the time.
Any pointers on how you get your kids to chew them?
My son is currently eating the one that has a strawberry taste (his favourite flavour) & it tastes good, I tried it. -
Hi hairuliza
I don’t have any problem getting my 2yrs to chew on multi-vitamins. Be it soft one or hard one. That goes the same for Scotts Cod Liver Oil.
My 1 yr also happily taking Scotts Cod Liver Oil. -
My 3.5yo boy doesn’t like chewables. Only gummies or liquid form for him.
I’m not giving gummies as he might mistaken as sweets and OD on them.
