Alternatively, there is those hometutor DVD on Math which they explain pretty clearly. You can either stand there in Popular bookstore to understand the model diagram method or buy a copy to learn. But I am not sure how much it cost though.

I had bought it few years ago. It cost about $150 for 3 volume. Title is call:

Creative Mathematics
Heuristic Approach to Problem-Solving (Elementary) 2nd Edition.
Recommended for Primary 1 - 4.

SETA, B and C and they have questions posted there and a solution book?

If you were to relate the model method to algebra, I think there is some relationship to algebra.It's just that in the model method, we represent the unknown \" x\" with a box or diagram and in algebra, it is simply x and y or any other alphabet.

yes...u can view it as a simplified version of algebra.....
when the child goes to upper primary
problems sums can be made easy by incorporating model method with algebra....

I would have enrolled my kids with TAS if I had got to know about the centre earlier. Unfortunately, we were in the midst of preparing for our overseas stint when we met up with TAS. Even then, we went there with the intention of buying books only. One thing just led to another.

Actually, TAS has shared a lot in their posts under the Langauge, Speech and Drama Section. Some of the resources they recommended me, such as Improve Your English by Usborne, can also be found there.

Oh I see, thanks so much for sharing with me..I do notice that their posts are very good, they seem to have a lot of knowledge and they share very generously. I will go and check out more. Where are you based now?
