2010 PSLE Discussion

markfch:
I think every child is probably different. For our case, we become even closer to DS after he entered Sec school. The kind of engagement between parents and child becomes very different from Primary school time. He is more independent when it comes to studying and planning for revision, but he will approach us when he encounters a difficult maths or science question. I am particularly happy when he discusses with me about humanity subjects. He feels excited about these new topics and wants to hear the parents' views. The discussion between us moved up to higher level compared to his Primary school days. We feel very good seeing him becoming more mature.
Just curious. In many parent-children relationships, does the end of PSLE mark the end of an era. Come sec sch, do kids still cling on their parents like my 6yr old ds is doing now?verykiasu2010:
yes, looking forward to it
after 6 years of hard work and exciting learning journey, fun, play, growing up, it will be nostalgic to look back...my DS said
and after the PSLE, there is still some competitions to represent the school in, overseas immersion trip, prepare for graduation...busy busy till Nov 19 -
@mummyjoyce…tks for the wonderful advice…at times I end up scolding my PSLE child :x without thinking about the pressure they’re all going through…I think for the next few days, I’d rather be in control of my temper!!! I get panicky when I find that there are still some pending topics to be revised, worksheets to be completed :!:

PSLE ends only next mon for my son but he alrdy asked if he can start playing this weekend! :x
-
I think they also get fed up doing the worksheets at home and school.
In my opinion, we should give them more free time to relax and do whatever they want to do releted to the forthcoming exams. -
Seriously, with less than 2 days left
What they have learnt so far, they know.
What they dont know, they surely dont have the time to learn
What is most important is they utilize what they know to the best possible ability.
So let them relax and have some fun. And feel recharged.
:celebrate:
Parents relax!
The one thing we can do is zip up our mouths and plaser a smile.
Dont add to the kids stress if you are stressed.
If you are not stressed, pssssst... let me know ur secret
