anyone know how much emphasis SHPS has for the kids?

I want a all rounded education system for my kid… will this be the wrong school? Does the teacher work closely with the parents on the child’s development?

Now that’s a rather odd question to ask - most, if not all, primary schools would emphasize on the kids. 🙂

But seriously, I’ve had the pleasure of working with some of the SHPS teachers during my days as a PV and I have to say they’re one dedicated lot.

Wanting an ‘all rounded’ education is perhaps a given for most parents. But of course one has truly to first define "all rounded-ness" and to realize that there are dependant factors such as :

        1. Your child’s receptiveness / character
        2. The parents’ expectations
        3. The different teachers’ approach
        4. Student-peer influences

If you’re referring to ancient chinese definition of all roundedness with "文武双全 " then uh, no. SHPS does not teach fighting. 🙂

Jokes aside, SHPS is a good school to be in. Give it a shot and you’ll see.

I am contemplating whether to send my kid to St Hilda or Poi Ching…

I am a PV at St Hilda already (live <2km) but have not started any PV work yet….
I live <1km away from Poi Ching

Would like to seek comments & opinion from those whose kids is at Poi Ching or St Hilda…, how good or bad is the school for the kids …

          Thank a lot….
