      Hi Parents,

Heard from student care ctr that Juying will normally closed for 3 days for PSLE written exam. So any idea which day will school be close amount the 5 days of written paper?
6 to 8 Oct is English, MT and Maths paper. 11 Oct is Science and 12th is Higher Mongue Tongue.

So far when the school close, I will try take half-day leave to be with DS so he dont hv to go student care for full day (except June/Dec lah). Considering of going to the kid maze at Jurong Safra.

Then also heard school is closed for PSLE marking days (19-21 Oct).

All in all, there are so many \"off-day\" by the school, govenment should give working parents \"student-care\" leave. :rubhands:

      Thanks.

When I read ur message on the number of \"no school\" days for my ds,

the first thing tt came to my mind was good,
then I can hve more time to revise my ds work during those off-days for the end year exam!

You're so nice to go on leave and even plan activities during those days! :ugogirl:

Usually during PSLE marking days, the student care will encourage the students to attend student care because that's where they will be giving out 'extra' worksheets for them to prepare for the SA2 exams. Even the student care centres are being 'kiasu' 😛

Anyway, kudos to you for wanting to do the opposite. For all you know, your kid may end up doing better in his exams without all the 'cramming' because there is less stress :celebrate:

            Hi Yerdua & Sakura,

Actually student care teacher advise me not to take leave on Children day !!! She suggest I go on leave on the day before exam to give 1-to-1 attention. I told her that will stress me out instead :!:

Okay, FT had replied to my question. he he he. No closing during PSLE written paper (6-12Oct), but it will be closed fm 19-22 Oct fm PSLE marking. That is 4 days instead of 3. I’ll update DS student care.
Tentatively, school will be close on 10 Nov. Their school holiday start fm 18 Nov except P5& P6 will attend school on 19th. So no school for DS on 19.

                Dear JY parents,

DS has brand new unused excerise book from his P1. 2 bks of Big Square Line Book (50c ea), 6 bks of Med Single Line Book (50c ea) and 1 Jotter Book with Line (60c). 1 pack of Word Study Cards pack ($2).

Can we exchange this w school bookshop for P2 excerise book? DS has no slibing to pass on. Or anyone interested? Thks.

                BTW, if u r P1 parents,
                1) u may consider buying less on excercise books that stated on the booklist. Last year we bought the qty stated and now we hv balance.
                2) u cant dont buy the word study cards pack.
                3) we had bought the optional 2 items of disctionary. not use by teacher also.
                4) note book (30c) was not in used too.
                Rdgs//Yvonne

                  Aloya!

                  Need to ask. :?
                  1) DS will be taking Higher Chinese Language in P2. Does it mean that we only need to buy HCL textbook and skip the CL textbook?
                  2) Saw school website (for yr2010) that MT has lession on Monday from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. Is this a MUST for all HCL students? Or extra classes for those in need?
Or does it mean during MT lession, DS will be attending CL and plus Mon afternoon lession for HCL?

                  Thks//Yvonne

                    Me again!

Where can we find out the PSLE of the respective school? unable to find in school website already. Used to be there. 😞
I can only find top pri school results in KSP.

                      1) Yes, if taking HCL, only need to purchase HCL books.
                      2) As far as I know, HCL and normal CL are taken during normal school hours. Those taking HCL will proceed to another class to take their lessons with students from other class taking HCL. Lessons conducted from 1.30 to 3.30pm are usually supplementary classes, and are mainly the English and Maths subjects. If you are not sure, you may want to wait till you get the time-table for P2.

                      Hope this helps.

Do you mean the PSLE aggregate/T-scores of the students for the respective schools? I think it is up to the individual schools to publish them in their websites, not mandatory.
