It is good to impose temperature taking exercise in schools, enrichment center etc.

But does anyone know what is the guideline of temperature reading that a kid is being rejected from schools/enrichment centers?

i find that there is enrichment center taking advantage of this where kids with 37.2-37.5 reading are being asked to go back

I think this is a bit too much where most of the PD is going giving medicine when the kids are above 37.6 or even 38

Anyone will have a clue on this?

        I go by the following:
        Normal temperatures are 36.9,
        Mild fever is 37.5 - 38.0
        High fever is 38.1 - 39.5
Dangerous fever is anything more than 39.5

I don't think enrichment centres benefit from turning away their charges. Doctors do benefit, though.

          insider:

When does your child have a fever?

Your child (below 12 years old) has a fever if:

ā—† the armpit (axillary) temperature is over 37.2oC
ā—† the mouth (oral) temperature is over 37.5oC
ā—† the ear (tympanic) temperature is over 37.9oC.

Hi insider, what about the forehead temperature?

I go by Chief's guidelines as well.

            When in centres...
We call parents to inform of child's temp at 37.6...
Give the standard Panadol if parents request to...
Ask child to drink lots of water and provide the fever gel...
Child has a quick wash up (face and hands) plus toileting
then goes sick bay upon reaching 38.0..
Parents also called again to come get the poor child...
