Hi dyh, I think it's quite nice for you to go with your two boys since they are both PH students. I think my dh won't mind going if all my 3 girls are in PH in the coming years then he could bond with them all at once in school for a different experience.
I did not know about the soft launch? seems like the information is not sent out to all fathers?dyh:

Your hubby can join us as ordinary member or in the organising committee. the group was formed few months ago. the objective is to support dadsforlife momement and to promote father-child bonding. we did a soft launch in aug during mid-autumn festival and our first event was in sep. coming next will be an event on nov, just before school holiday. If your hubby can spare the time, do join as in the organising committee. we are looking for at least one or more activities per term. so we definitely need more fathers to help out....If you hubby is interested, pm me his name, contact no, kid name and class and i will pass the info to the HOD in charge. Hope to meet up with your hubby soon....thks...
my son was keen to go for the sept event but it clashed with his tuition..
What activities did you guys have on that day?
php, at current, only no. 1 is in PH, is he allowed to bring my other younger girls (no. 3 is turning 2 soon) along for the Fathers@PHPPS activity? Will the activities be suitable for my 4-yo and 2-yo? He brings my 3 girls cycling, swimming, skating, kite-flying or for badminton on Sats.
Hi E3, during our first event, we did have fathers bring their younger ones along (shd be in their kindy)...we didn't have any restriction as there was no charge for this event...we will be planning activities to suit different level...so 1st event was open to P1 - P3. There should be some event that are suitable for all ages...we will definitely welcome your participation unless there is a change in rule and regulation...haha.... -

Hi dyh, no information was sent out to all fathers...the purpose of the soft launch was to let the parents and teachers know that there is such a group in the school. we had a stall in the canteen during the school's mid autumn festival to promote its awareness....and we did free instant photo taking for father/kid during the launch....

first event was on 25 sep, Fathers@PHPPS Fun Day..we had about 300 fathers/kids participated in the event... they played father/kid bonding games together and end off with an on-the-spot art in which the kids would have to produce drawing and presented to their father. the event was only catered for P1 to P3.
there will be another event coming up before the kids go for their year-end break...this one will be interesting but limited capacity..
That's a pretty good turn-out. keep it up. -

A mother told me that with the Popular discount card, you could actually get the textbooks and workbooks cheaper from Popular. However, her dd is not from PH so the books could be different. PHPPS has additional supplementary items found in the booklist, such as English guide books: Word Bank and Grammar (to be used in lower primary so you only needed to buy once), Penmanship, Listening Booklets and Math Process Skills booklets, which can't be bought from Popular.
Once again, :welcome: to the PH family!
