E3:
Thank You E3.jollyjas:
can we get the books from Popular??
A mother told me that with the Popular discount card, you could actually get the textbooks and workbooks cheaper from Popular. However, her dd is not from PH so the books could be different. PHPPS has additional supplementary items found in the booklist, such as English guide books: Word Bank and Grammar (to be used in lower primary so you only needed to buy once), Penmanship, Listening Booklets and Math Process Skills booklets, which can't be bought from Popular.
Once again, :welcome: to the PH family!
Then i will order the books online to save all troubles.

Thanks to Trapwithin, Janet & E3 for the warm welcome.
Orientation day, here we come. -
The FT emailed the results are released to the teachers this afternoon.

So late . .the other school got the result on Wednesday.
All the school received the result on the same day.
I guess PHPPS are not very keen for student to get into GEP because they will have to leave the school.
If this is really so .. it is very unprofessional of them. -
Trapwithin:
I don't think so la....i read in another thread that some other schools did not receive the results yesterday as well.Jennifer:

I also don't think so. I would really regret it if the sch I tried so hard to get ds into will be so naive to think that by delaying the GEP results for 2 days, they will encourage GEPers to remain in the sch.

It doesn't make much sense, so it can't be true. I pv in the general office for one week. I can tell that the sch admin has much more intelligence than that. -

That's interesting. What are your duties? -
Jennifer:
My duties were mainly clerical, you know the photostating, filing, typing kind of stuff. I was sitting amongst the HODs. And I can tell that those HODs don't have it easy man. There are just so many admin tasks and paperwork to complete. Just imagine as long as one parent per class sends them an email/message daily, they will be overwhelmed with liaison work liao. And this is not even their main job function.markfch:

Really? That week must be the GO at its most efficient... :lol:I pv in the general office for one week. I can tell that the sch admin has much more intelligence than that.
