MOE Hater:
Hi, for the question about how he should obtain water, I put that he should tie up some leaves in a plastic bag with the string. \"coz the concept behind my answer is the same as the concept behind part (a). I believe that both answers should be related and most of the people I know put the answer above.
There is a similar concept as this in the PSLE specimen paper in the Five Year Series, question 39, so those students who did the Five Year series faithfully should be able to explain the concept right.
-
So happy for all PSLE pupils. HMT not critical for most. Kids can hit their favourite games now.
-
I am not sure if the leaves/leaf will transpire once it has been plucked :?
-
Little Mermaid:
I also lorhhh! :stupid:
HAizzz... i have one more paper to go!!JieTing:
Health more importation.
Anyway, all of you have already tried your best!!!
Well done!!!
Time to relax now. :celebrate:
:stupid: -
For the elephant question, I put :
The big ears help to trap air which is a poor conductor of heat. Thus, keeping the elephant cool. Wonder if it is correct!!! :?:
:!: -
desichan352:
Me too. I had fever 39.9 deg C on Sunday, it was down to 36.9 deg after taking prescribed Ibuprofen... but still cannot think straight... completed the paper with seconds to spare :stupid: :stupid: :stupid: :stupid: :stupid:I got fever today....

Temp. -> 38.7 degrees
Haiz..... But of course I still insisted on taking the paper so they put me in a classroom to take all by myself...
Paper was quite ok except for a few questions here and there
But i was very giddy so could not think properly -
Little Mermaid:
Big ears do help to keep the elephant cool. For the elephant question, I put :
The big ears help to trap air which is a poor conductor of heat. Thus, keeping the elephant cool. Wonder if it is correct!!! :?:
:!:
However, it is not due to the trapped air but the large surface area for them to lose the heat. -
Little Mermaid:
it's not correct. let's take the polar bear for example. the polar bear's fur traps air which is a poor conductor of heat. thus, helping to keep the polar bear warm. being a poor conductor of heat, air conducts heat away from the polar bear at a slower rate. For the elephant question, I put :
The big ears help to trap air which is a poor conductor of heat. Thus, keeping the elephant cool. Wonder if it is correct!!! :?:
:!:
in the question, there is a phrase that say something like, \"...help the elephant lose heat...\" so ur question is out of point. the big ears of the elephant helps it to lose heat, not trap air to keep it cool. (no offence) -
PSLE science was like damn freakin' easy. oh well. it's finally over. freeeeedom for like 2 months at least.

anybody know the answer to the insect X question. I put 28 days but many of my friends say that it is 24 days and what is the reason for insect X staying in water for the egg larva and pupa stages
