      kancheong mum:

      Hi MSHS parents,

I am a newbie 😄 My son is starting P1 in MSH next year and we are so excited for him!
I heard that MSH requires all its boys to get a Macbook. Wondering if any parents can help tell me when the boys are required to get the Mac? Is it in P1 or later on?

      Thanks a million! 😄 😄

kancheong mum, you have been smoked. why would a P1 kid need a Macbook? Anyway, see u at the orientation... Nov is coming soon. We were still in the midst of balloting a few months ago. lol...

I think that macbook is required in sec 1. Personally, I have misgivings about having an individual computer for each child in class. I think the teachers will not be able to monitor that everyone is on the same task or on the same webpage!

We would like to put our boy in MSH for P1 and have submitted PV form to the school already. They said that only shortlisted caniddates will receive notification. I am getting worried cause not a peep. How can i find out more? At least I know if I should start on other optiosn etc right?

Which year was your boy born in? I happened to browse the school website under \"PSG\" two days ago, it's stated that the registration for parent volunteers for children born in 2005 is closed. Shortlisted applicants will be called for an interview in November. Why don't you give the school a call?

How different is the Chinese lesson and HCL conducted? My son is in P4 this year, his chinese marks falls between high 80s to low 90s, cannot decide whether or not to let him take HCL next year.

                    HI 2D mommy

My son is born in 2006. We submitted already and was told that they will be contacting us this month or so if we are successful. If we do not hear anything, it means no chance… not sure if they will be upset with me if i called to check.

Which class is your son in? Mine is in 4C. I think as long as he is doing well and enjoy the language, then can let him try to do HCL.
