      Namie:

My son is not keen in Mandarin especially Hanyu Pinyin. There was once we drove past Catholic High and he said \"I don't want to go to this school. All these Chinese Chinese words look so old fashion\". My mum said it is my retribution because that was how I used to behave.
      haha
well, i used to enjoy chinese in pri sch but my son dun like. if that is any consolation to you.
he doesnt like hypy because he always got confused with the phonic. Example, You (in EL) and you (in CL). He always pronounce it as You (in EL). We decided to take it easy on hypy. Just let him recognise chinese character first. Which luckily he find it easier than hypy.

        Hi MSHS parents,

I am a newbie πŸ˜„ My son is starting P1 in MSH next year and we are so excited for him!
I heard that MSH requires all its boys to get a Macbook. Wondering if any parents can help tell me when the boys are required to get the Mac? Is it in P1 or later on?

        Thanks a million! πŸ˜„ πŸ˜„
kancheong mum, you have been smoked. why would a P1 kid need a Macbook? Anyway, see u at the orientation... Nov is coming soon. We were still in the midst of balloting a few months ago. lol...

I think that macbook is required in sec 1. Personally, I have misgivings about having an individual computer for each child in class. I think the teachers will not be able to monitor that everyone is on the same task or on the same webpage!

Which year was your boy born in? I happened to browse the school website under \"PSG\" two days ago, it's stated that the registration for parent volunteers for children born in 2005 is closed. Shortlisted applicants will be called for an interview in November. Why don't you give the school a call?

How different is the Chinese lesson and HCL conducted? My son is in P4 this year, his chinese marks falls between high 80s to low 90s, cannot decide whether or not to let him take HCL next year.

                        HI 2D mommy

My son is born in 2006. We submitted already and was told that they will be contacting us this month or so if we are successful. If we do not hear anything, it means no chance… not sure if they will be upset with me if i called to check.
