It is really taxing on us IF we have to work full time, cook, do groceries, clean, take care of the children AND still do everything else. That’s quite unfair. But when I become a SAHM, maybe I will be more receptive to take on more of the nitty gritty and become the minister of home affairs! ahahah

well, I know of several moms who don't cook, do groceries or clean!!

Not all moms cook. I know of one who only has to think of where to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday.
As a SAHM, we gotta do everything…including buying toiletries and groceries (I enjoy doing this). Oh yes, not to mention being the ‘in-house doctor’ as well. -

As a SAHM, we gotta do everything...including buying toiletries and groceries (I enjoy doing this). Oh yes, not to mention being the 'in-house doctor' as well.
And because we tend to be the ones handling the day to day stuff, naturally we are the ones making the decisions. If gotta wait for the hubby to make every single decision, think a lot of things will not be done. In any case, where I am concern, DH will say up to you lor.
I also know of a SAHM who does not cook. Not because she doesn't want to but because her family basically begged her not to. Hahah. They prefer to eat out. And I know of a FTWM who wakes up at 5am every morning to prepare breakfast for her family and the day's meal before heading to work. And was studying part time 3 times a week and was at that time preggy with her 2nd child. No idea where she find the energy. -

Yeah, when I was working full time, I had to do all the stuff. And I know it is quite difficult to get my hubby involved because of his hectic schedule. But it was very tiring for me so in the end, I quit my job to make life more manageable for myself. -
but I think most of the dads here are the more proactive lot.

That's the exact title DH gave me - Minister of Home Affairs!
Basically, I just make all the decisions with regard to home affairs. But DH has the final say on the bigger decision like family investing, big budget purchase like car, and family vacation (though I get to give him a few choices on holiday destinations).
It works out fine for us as hubby is the type that looks at 'big picture' and me 'the tiny details'.cherrygal:
