]How do you manage to find the time and energy to do all that? You must have interest in it else how to make such much effort.
Uhmm...like very free hor? it's ex-occupational hazard, can't seem to change although I am now a full-time SAHM.
As for my dd, I hate to say the word...I think she's a perfectionist (her k1 teacher said before during PTM) which both my dh and I are fully aware of its consequences. Thankfully, my super relax dh can help balance it a little. So far, she could pick herself up pretty well after a setback and does not exhibit any anxiety explicitly. She has the 'unruffled' type of personality. I am the kancheong spider. Maybe she has greater faith. Haha.
Yes, I take interest in almost everything my three girls do, it's easier that way to stay home full-time.
Janet, I am sure you can help your going-to-be-P1 dd effectively having gone thru and learning so much together with your ds. No worries. -

Same, the flow must be there cos you have to write a logical story based on the picture. The only limit is it must be a 10-sentence story. Perhaps that's y php's dd way of writing is sort of discouraged at P1. I also felt it's a limit to the child's potential in this case, but like what comfy had said, from p2 onwards, the child is free to express. At P1, they go for meaningful, yet concise sentences first.
I heard prevously you are allow to just write 10 statements and the flow need not be there. Now they want the story to be developed, not just 10 sentence on the picture.E3:
Hi Trapwithin, I think it's still the same as last year. Write a 10-sentence one paragraph story based on a picture, not really a full composition yet. -

I thought 'CRAZY' was ok too but then I am not a very strict teacher, firm but not excessively particular. Our kids are already quite repressed in many ways. I cannot condone rudeness though.
DS likes to use the phrase 'what the hack' now. He said he learnt it from one of his childcare classmates. I actually thought 'crazy' is an acceptable word to use. But then again, I maybe quite indulgent in this aspect. The only phrase I stopped ds from using is 'oh my god' due to personal reason.php:
i was at Sentosa last night with a HOD and several PV to do risk assessment prior to our event in Nov. my dd's classmate father was telli ng me that he get used to reading those messages written by her teacher in the comm book. But one message was quite interesting...\"so and so, your boy was caught using the word CRAZY during assembly. please counsel him.\"...something like that, can remember the exact words....
markfch, your turn will come....haha.....i got a few too....then you have more strategies to work on..... -

Don't be surprise, even kids in top class also learned how to scold using the \"F@\" word. Just tell my DD to ignore it.

Words like Stupid, scolding words in chinese poem (how creative) are commonly used too. -
Hi E3,
This seem to be jumping the gun, would you consider sending your DD to a GEP school if she is selected (next yr) ? If yes, which school ? Thks. -
comfy:
i banned the word 'stupid' when dd was 3 yrs old. she saw and heard someone using this word and she descibed it to me. she never used that..i explained to her that it was morally incorrect to use this word on a person....fortunately, till to date, she still can remember what i told her back then.

Nope. Not jumping the gun. Her FT had already had this GEP discussion with the class some months back. I had already given my stand on school transfer with regards to GEP some time back in this forum. I will pm you, don't want to rehash the same story (炒冷饭).Hi E3,

I am a hoarder...hehe...maybe cos I still have two younger ones not in Pri school...
I stay along Hume Avenue. Any info would be much appreciated.
If there is a choice, we would prefer to have a small bus instead (as the big ones probably not allowed to drive into the lobby due to its size)
So far I often see a big & old school bus pass by our place. So will get slight inconveniences during rainy days, plus I have to be on standby at waiting point (looking like a goondu :P)
I still have the list of School Bus Drivers and Routes given last year. My dd takes the school bus since P1. It is a small bus (only about 12 students) with seat belts. Takes a little getting used to initially cos my dh used to send her to kindy by car. The not-so-long bus journey might seem like ages and gave her butterflies in her tummy.
I will pm the bus info for your area to you. Hopefully it is still the same \"uncle\".
