We hv considered arranging for sch bus to pick him up after sch. But the nearest relative is in Kallang area and we are just living diagonally opp NCPS, sigh. Kinda poor thing cos I will be sending DS to before sch care in the morning, DS will be totally burnt out by time we fetch him home ard 9+ at night if he goes to Kallang, haiz... If only I can find someone near my place to fetch him fr sch n gives him dinner [/quote]Perhaps ask ard ur block if there's any part-time \"baby\"sitter willing to pick him up from sch, feed him dinner & c him go into ur house or let him wait at her place till u pick him up?

Yah, that's what my colig did too. She got a baby sitter to pick her son.

Btw, I saw from earlier posts that we are supposed to get their uniforms/books prior orientation. It was stated that the orientation date is 22 Nov but I did not rec'd any letters for purchase of anything, am I missing something? :?:

My friend only received that too.
Perhaps things r done differently this yr?

I called and was told to wait for letter. She doesn't sound very helpful and friendly. Is this NCPS's attitude all the time?...it makes me regret sending my son there....

Yes you should be receiving a letter soon sometime end this month or beginning nov I believe. it will give you a date on the book and uniform purchase just before the orientation. your child will have to in full uniform for the orientation but no worries, okay.

i would say, term 4 is absolutely chaotic period for the school. with the just finished psle, and now SA going on. teachers were also on mc, etc. school events, etc. the whole school is seems like rushing for time. i am not sure how they organise all those events that's ongoing (eg. p6 leaving concert, meet the parent session, etc.)
