I have a small laundry area and have been facing challenges in making sure my clothes are probably dried (and smell good after the wash!). I am toying with the idea of getting a dryer so that my house will not be crowded with clothes hanging everywhere.

Appreciate your inputs on which brand of dryer to buy ( lasting, save energy, save space…?). Thanks!

My dryer is Electrolux...it was bought ten years ago and still doing fine..

It saves space cos it is placed on top of the washer. I am not sure about consumption of energy cos I don't monitor PUB bills..

        Anyway...it is definitely useful 🙂

          Hi happyheart,

We use Bosch washer and dryer at home.
Two machines, dryer stacked on top of washer.
          PLUS: saves space.

          The dryer is a condenser-type.
MINUS: meaning it has a drainage system/container that you need to drain away each time.
PLUS: No long/messy pipe that releases the hot air, lint (fluff) and moisture into the house or laundry area/yard.

The washer has a save time/water option.
PLUS: takes only 40 minutes to complete a load (7kg).

Mine is electrolux too, with timer, anti-crease function. If you want to save on electricity, you may want to consider getting a Rinnai gas dryer … after all, gas is cheaper than electricity.

I’ve been using Fisher & Paykel since 8 years ago. So far, it is lasting as we wash and dry daily. As for costing, we didn’t really monitor.

However, now that duriz mentioned Bosch. Seems interesting as I’m tired of cleaning the lint out of the dryer.

stacking the dryer over your current washing machine if its front load is best as it saves space. since my washer is top loading, i got a top loading Brandt Dryer. i've been using it for almost 10 years now... no complaints.

 Thanks for all the kind recommendation. My current washer is top loader so my choice would be restricted to certain model/ brand that can fit into the space. I will check out the various brand mentioned.

I am also an Electrolux fan and I believe in washer and dryer splitting up if you want to work concurrently.... 😉
