Considering to select Crescent Girls School becos of its MEP (CHIJ St Nicks' COP is too high)

Anyone with children in CGS, plse share your assessment, experience, comments.

Anyone considering / not considering choosing CGS, plse share your reasons.

      Thanks in advance.

MEP has started last year only.... so i don't know, if you will get a reply. Otherwise school is fair to eveyone... You will have homogenous batch with COP of 240 to 255 & everyone will get two years to prove their strength before SEc2 streaming.

It has Tablet PC program which i guess supports e- learning . With plenty of exercises on the school website, weaker students can download & practice until become perfect... this is advantage for 'Un-maths' students.... no so much for students lagging in Languages. But there are good teachers for English & Literature which will benefit students.

All in all , great infrasturucture with good teachings... very disciplined school... You cannot be late & there are demerit points for breaking rules.

My DD got-in last year with COP of 240 & this year result has maintained( just got final year result) . Keeping fingers crossed , she does well in Sec2 & o-levels

      Thank you for info/comments.

Do u live near the school? Would you hv chosen CGS if it's far from your home?
I noticed that there's only a small road leading to the school. How's the traffic in the morning..is it jammed?

      Thanks

Thanks[/quote]It is far from our home... take MRT & then Bus 111 from orchard... we live in north.

In morning , you are allowed to drive thro' rear door from red hill mrt side road. Also small gate at the back of school is opened for students arriving from Red hill MRT & taking a walk across.

I guess irrespective of distance , school get picked by some of the top 15 % of cohert at PSLE.

15 mins & have to take overhead bridge next to Tangling View condo to cross the road. You can also take 132 bus opposite Red hill MRT to get to Bus stop in front of school...
