Heyya i3mum, for all our vacations we have been very adamant

about getting accomodations that are child friendly and yet not
charging exorbitantly... for Phuket... there were quite a few &
in different locations. We personally love resorts with kids' clubs
and ones that cater fun programmes for children, whether it is
      with or without parent participation/supervision.

We eventually went for Ramada Resort Karon Beach.
Other than needing a little maintenance/sprucing up
of the place... the staff are fantastic and the rooms
are clean. Breakfast buffet spread aplenty and caters
for both parents and children. Nice & quiet area within
Phuket plus a clean and peaceful beach. Not many of
those u-noe-whos and tourists... Walking distance to
clinic, 7-eleven, outside resort spas & the likes... like
rows of shophouses. The kids club rawks and the gals
remember all the fun they had with Dave, Pam & the
rest at the kids' club. Most times they've been telling
us no need to come back so early as they were
having so much fun with our girls. :celebrate:

Other resorts that has kids club would be Holiday Inn
and also the all family friendly Club Med. But don't
take my word for it, check them all out!

http://www.phuket.com/talay-karon-beach-resort/ : Apparently now called Talay Karon Beach Resort.

I booked our accomodation online with this website. Here's their other
list of Family Friendly Resorts for your browsing! Hope this helps. 😉

        Hi buds,

Thanks for all the recommendation! To think of it, I have stayed in Holiday inn before, that was about 8 years ago, before Tsunami, didnt find out if it has been rebuild!

Thanks alot! This is definitely useful. Btw, is there any other countries which you have travelled with your kids F&E? Any to recommend?

I do recall passing by Holiday Inn & Shangri-La which were
quite near to each other. So yes, it's there yah. 😉

we stayed in Holiday inn in august, and it was not bad… the location was convenient, the babysitting services were cheap… the Kids club was ok, rather small if u compare with Shangrila’s… but of course the price is not as exp also lah… the kids pool was good, just the right depth for my kids, with deck chairs for me to suntan while supervising… 😎 plenty of programs for children.

I would suggest you write in directly via email to inquire about rates, as we managed to get a lower rate that way. Alot of hotels in thailand offer lower rates if u call or email them direct. don use their international hotlines… those are cut-throat… they will insist that u book 2 rooms if u have kids, when actually the hotels do not charge for children who share bedding. We encountered this with the Holiday inn chain several times
