Hi buds, Thanks for all the recommendation! To think of it, I have stayed in Holiday inn before, that was about 8 years ago, before Tsunami, didnt find out if it has been rebuild!
I do recall passing by Holiday Inn & Shangri-La which were
quite near to each other. So yes, it's there yah.
i3mum:
You're most welcome. Thanks alot! This is definitely useful.

we stayed in Holiday inn in august, and it was not bad… the location was convenient, the babysitting services were cheap… the Kids club was ok, rather small if u compare with Shangrila’s… but of course the price is not as exp also lah… the kids pool was good, just the right depth for my kids, with deck chairs for me to suntan while supervising…
plenty of programs for children.
I would suggest you write in directly via email to inquire about rates, as we managed to get a lower rate that way. Alot of hotels in thailand offer lower rates if u call or email them direct. don use their international hotlines… those are cut-throat… they will insist that u book 2 rooms if u have kids, when actually the hotels do not charge for children who share bedding. We encountered this with the Holiday inn chain several times -

I will be visiting Phuket on 7th Sep at 9.0 AM and my departure is 10th Sep 7 PM from Phuket.
We are 2 adults and 1 kid 14years old and we booked at Novotel Phuket.
1. What is the best way to travel from Airport to Novotel Phuket. (Van or Metered Taxi or Negotiate for fixed price 450 That Bhat?) Any suggestion?
2. Is it Rain coat or umbrella required?
3. Since I arrive early and departure late, what is the best way to manage? I understand Novotel does not have a policy of early check in and late check out?
4. What is the popular sight seeing islands around Phuket? Note sure which one to go Phi Phi island or james bod island? I know swimming but can’t swim long time inside water. at the maximum 5 minutes continuous swimming. My hubby do not know swimming at all?
5. Is phutong beach and popular street walking distance from novotel? I can only eat chicken and prefer vegetarian.
Thanks in advance.
