Hi, there will be a designated school bus vendor \"Stario Express\" stationed in the school, during the time scheduled to buy school uniform, books and shoe for your child.

For more information, you may wish to access their link at
        http://stario-express.com.

Hiya, my gal will be in AGPS next year and I must say the school has given me a good impression so far. Like many first-time P1 registered parents, I was confused and I had 3 choices of schools then: Nan Chiau (the overrated school), Opera Estate (my former school but too far) and AGPS (which is also conveniently smack in between me and my parents place).

I went to their open house a couple months back and was very impressed with the students (most of the pupils spoke well), the school programs (not entirely sure what but have heard from one of my staffs, his daughter is studying there that their ECAs are quite interesting) and the environment/surrounding/presence/aura (whatever you call it :P) of the school.

I know it may be too early for me to decide but so far so good and have no regrets enrolling her there 🙂

                Hi all,

My gal is in P3 this year, it had been a wonderful learning journey for her so far in AGPS. 😄

The Principal is caring towards the children and understand them quite well as her child is in primary school too.

The students are very courteous and the school is still very new.For CCA, Hand chimes and model dance won some awards in SYF compettitions this year. A very good result considering they are a new school.

After a week’s starting school for my gal in AGPS, here are some things that I have encounter.

In terms of environment and friendliness, I am indeed very pleased. And yes, I agree their students have been very polite and helpful so far. However I find that the teachers should have been more informative or initiative to inform parents of P1 students (as it’s our first and our kids’ first experience) on what certain subjects stands for. Many parents were also puzzled at the timetable that were given to their children because some subjects are only in abbreviations. We wouldn’t know what it would have stand for unless parents ask or email the teachers. Were these mentioned in the orientation?

My dad also told me an incident today when he went to fetch my child. The students are released according to class by class at the main gate and there would be a card to indicate the class that is released. Of course for parents or caretakers, they would take note according to the card but my child just appeared with the older students. So my dad asked the guard how come he didn’t see any of her class card and she’s already out, the guard replied "as long as your child is out, it’s fine". My dad of course argued and told the guard off that this shouldn’t be the way, especially for old grandparents or caretakers who come and fetch the kids, they would of course take more notice on the class that the child is in. If my child didn’t call out to her granddad, my dad wouldn’t have known that she was already released.

Which I think my dad is right cos otherwise, the school should just release the whole bunch of students there and then.

Am I the only one facing such concerns or what?

I've learnt from my P1 son that PAL subject is actually Play & Learn, and FTGP is Form Teacher Guidance Programme, but still clueless about what actually happens then. :?

                      Anyone can help?

Hiya, I've emailed my gal's form teacher the 2nd week inquiring bout the subject abbreviations and got a reply from her. One week later, the class teacher also sent a bulletin to my girl's class (not sure if other classes have it). These are the info I've gotten 🙂

CME: Civics & Moral Education (Part of Mother Tongue Lessons)
                        FTGP: Form Teacher Guidance Period
ICT: Information Communication Technology (Computer Lesson)
                        PAL: Program for Active Learning

I don't know what is PAL but my gal has mentioned before that she loves PAL lessons 🙂 so must be like what you've mentioned, Play and Learn! 🙂
