We are kinda glad that she has 3 more weeks to go and then no more ting xie until she goes to P1...

I think you dd will do very well in the CL when she goes to P1 next year since she has already done all these.

Don't worry. It takes time to learn and adjust. The oral and listening components are 70 over 200 when comes to P5/P6 (if there is not changes by MOE). As such if possible try to start early and save your headache later on. -

Hi RRMummy,
How's everything ? Haven't 'seen' you around for a while.
My daughter still has 4 more å¬å before school ends...it's getting more challenging getting her to learn it. Since last wk, the teacher has been testing kids on hanyu pinyin.
It's going to be so exciting seeing my gal go to P1 next yr...can't imagine.

Work has been busy... hectic.. also anxious abt DD1 going to P1 soon..
Same here. Yesterday was more challenging to prepare DD1 for tingxie today. As you can see in the list I attached above, the difficultly is increasing.. we both are kinda happy that after today, 3 more to go and we are done for the year
Yeah.. 2 more months... is she ready? I don't really know.. but looking back 6 years ago, she was juz a wee lil doll in my arms, 6 years from now, she'll be tackling the scary PSLE.. so this is a critical junction to embrace her while she allows me to..

Hi RRMummy,
I saw your daughter's å¬å list...it's incredibly hard for a 6 year old. What in the world are K2 Chinese teachers thinking now ?
My son didn't even have regular å¬å back then (same kindy). My daughter's å¬å is amazing. But your daughter's list is SCARY.
My daughter is still a wee lil doll...very petite...but going on to real school next year. I'm glad and relieved she has almost completed kindy and moving on to P1...somehow the feeling of having 1 kid in primary school and the other in kindergarten is tiring bcos I have difficulties adjusting my brain to teach 2 very diff levels.
