Travel to USA with 2 pre-school children

This was great. I have plans to take my daughter for a 3 yrs kindergarten/ Pri School for her to build good English foundation. Still gathering facts and cost. Are all those your own children? Do you know the education fees, rental? I had lived and worked in San Jose 8 yrs back.. so I think San Fransico is ideal because there is direct flight and plenti of talented Chinese there. Kindly advise.
Yep, those are all my own children. Hm... I only know the tertiary education, and I only know a little about Stanford. Why go to US to learn English... curious. The English would laugh at the American's English, the Americans laugh at how the English have their hands all over their plates, and we Singapore don't have a clue about what they are talking about.
Just very curious. Why not send them there during their tertiary years? -

Does anybody have experience going on holiday in USA with two preschool children (K1 thereabouts?)
We took our kids (nursery and K2) to the US in June to visit some friends and relatives. Our first stop was Vancouver, then Chicago and LA. So a lot of flights were involved. The kids had a great time in general, but both fell sick with high fever. The fever was gone after some paracetamol and plenty of sleep.
Actually the first time we took our DD to the US was when she was only 10 months old. Back then it was easier as she spent most of the time sleeping in the bassinet on the plane. Now with 2 active kids, our long flights were saved by individual TV screens on board :celebrate:.
We will probably go to the US again next summer. Maybe go on a road trip along the west coast, or even visit Yosemite if they're strong enough to do some hiking

Er... thanks... but it is not 5 preschoolers, it was more like 3-4 preschoolers at most at one time. Nowadays, it is so much easier. My youngest is already in P1.2ppaamm, u r great :udawoman:

Even with 3-4 preschoolers, that is a lot of work... For us, just 2 kids, my DH is already complaining whenever we go on long trips. So far, we survived without maid for UK and Spain. But for our first trip to Hokkaido when DS was 8 months old, we had to bring our maid along and many many things. In the end, had to rent the biggest car to accommodate our barangs. :lol:

Would anyone have any advice for me, is NY or some French alps like Chamonix more suitable for pre-schoolers? We are planning to go in early Dec and hoping to see some snow.

for NY u need to travel out and is definitely a loooong journey frm SG
for Chamonix, you can get in from Zurich, and if car to Chamonix, along the way got so many snowy \"playground\" liao...or from Paris - faster to take a domestic flight (AF)

from Zurich self drive to Chamonix is 3 hour 20 min (293km) if you want to chiong all the way, along the way will pass Luzern and Geneva.
alternative is take a connecting flight from Zurich to Geneva and get a car from Geneva airport to Chamonix, under 1 hour
From Paris by TGV & Ter is about 8 hours because for that route, TGV ends at Lyon and change train there
