Thanks. For books, is it advisable to get it at school or better to buy at Popular? I was told there are some exercise books and even dictionary taht were told to buy but ended up not used at all. For PE/uniform, how many sets would be enough?[/quote]

I am not sure whether there are any changes on the booklist (as in same as this year’s). Few of the books you can get it from Popular if you want. Others like stationery items (eg. colour pencils, drawing blocks, dictionary, etc.) frankly you can just get it from outside. There is no textbook for English. There is a cost on the printing of the worksheet which you have to pay. This is included in the booklist. They have actually pre-packed everything into a big bundle and you actually have to pay first before getting them. If you want to ensure that your kid is getting the right textbooks, just buy from the bookshop, if not you can get from outside.

I called and was told to wait for letter. She doesn't sound very helpful and friendly. Is this NCPS's attitude all the time?...it makes me regret sending my son there.... 😞

        Hi timtim,

Yes you should be receiving a letter soon sometime end this month or beginning nov I believe. it will give you a date on the book and uniform purchase just before the orientation. your child will have to in full uniform for the orientation but no worries, okay.

i would say, term 4 is absolutely chaotic period for the school. with the just finished psle, and now SA going on. teachers were also on mc, etc. school events, etc. the whole school is seems like rushing for time. i am not sure how they organise all those events that's ongoing (eg. p6 leaving concert, meet the parent session, etc.)

Thanks. For books, is it advisable to get it at school or better to buy at Popular? Sorry. I missed out on the uniform part. Basically every Wed all kids have to wear PE uniform. So you need at least one set. There will be another two days whereby the kids have their PE lessons. So it will depend on which day the PE lessons falls on. The safest bet in my view, 2 sets of uni, 3 sets of pe attire (as i only laundry over weekends).

Is there such a rule to wear PE uniform on Wed even if there is no PE lesson on that day?

Yes. Every Wednesday the school (pm session) will have mass PE and Speech & Drama for all children in P1 so they have to put on PE attire.

Mine is also the same case. I have actually wrapped them with those plastic wrap (have to cut to size that type) beginning of this year. Still the same. I believe they are still unable to really take care of their things at this age.

Hmm...not really so for me even though I called them like only once this year regarding the library opening hours...curt and brusque πŸ˜‰ So in generally I don't really like to deal with the school.
