Teeth Grinding

This is so new to me.
None of us ever had this thing
called teeth grinding before..
Mebbe i shud double check with
my folks and write in again..

Its a good thing, right?

\"We\" as in your family or \"we\" as in our generation? Cos I had this problem from waaay back but becos I slept alone, no one told me I was grinding my teeth in my sleep. My dentist only briefly mentioned that my molars were rather worn out when I was a teen. Back then, I thought it was due to me liking chewy sweets and chewing gum and teeth grinding wasn't much of an issue with dentists too.

Only after I got married did my DH complain about it. And as you can read from his (sashimi's) post on the previous page, his method seems to have worked. Or maybe I'm just less stressed now. (Not no stress, just less. )

Hi,

Anyone encounter with young kids having teeth grinding??

Recently noticed that my ds is grinding his teeth during his sleep. Not really bad, but the grinding sound can be heard. Told my dh about son having this problem, he told me \"not first time liao lor\" :rant: As if no bother him at all!

Is it ok/harmful for young kid to have this problem? Could he be under too much stress (for preparation SA)? Any cure to this? Or just leave it?

So far i noticed ds teeth grinding once only, cos i am a deep sleeper. In fact on that night, i can't even get myself out of the bed to look at him. Me simply :love: being with ZHOU GONG......

grind teeth still ok. my boy sleepwalk. quite dangerous I feel.


some said teeth grinding is due to heatiness in the body. some said due to stress or teeth alignment. to be sure it doesn’t cause any problem, bring him see a dentist.

Sleepwalking is really dangerous. U can't sleep deeply, i guess?

Thanks to yr suggestion, will try to monitor ds more often since now has been free from stress. Problem lies on me, :love: :love: sleep soooooo much....

no problem. I presume he is 7 year old? by then, shouldn't be because of baby teeth bah, as wat some dentists said (they said because baby teeth are not proper teeth, so grind teeth is normal). more likely is teeth misalignment or some other issues.


hmm, for my boy, I cant't sleep very tight, cos worry for him. once he sleepwalk, came out from the room, and push the wall like pushing door. he continued doing that until I intervented and stopped him. brought him back to his mattress.

so far he sleepwalked twice only (as far as I know la). once was the above incident, the other I can't remember. but it's only like in the recent months, so I didn't really seek medical help yet. will continue to monitor lor. if problem persists, will bring him see dr. but I see improvement in his behaviour recently after changing the way I talk to him (*cross finger*).
