Good Food at Bedok
-
Blobbi:
Hi Blobbi,Can someone tell me how to get to this food centre with the word \"Selera\" or something similar in it?
There was this once, we were in the area and were enticed by the stalls - the one I ate from was called \"Joo Chiat mince noodles\" or something to that effect. It was so old fashioned and so goood! The second time we went back a-looking to the area, the food centre cum market had um, mysteriously vanished.
Anyone has any clue??
is this food centre near to the bedok centre? does it has an attached market? could this be the blk 211 market/food centre? -

MMM:
At Blk 16 Bedok South, they used to have a very good cuttlefish kangkong stall. Cheap and huge serving. Not sure if it is still there.
I like this too! Always long queue! i always wanted to order the smallest portion, but queue for so long to buy small portion seems very waste, so end up always order a lot. -

cannot find..
ended up having Botak Jones.. -
I often see long queue at the cuttlefish kangkong stall, so one day I went to queue. Really queue for a long time, stand until legs ached.
In the end, don't really like the food as i found it \"too sweet\" to my liking. -

any recommendation of which Malay satay stall to zero in at Lagoon?
Don't know if Haron satay stall still ard in lagoon. Used to be very popular more than 20 yrs ago.
I have eaten Haron's satay for the past 3 times when I was there and carved for satay.
the satay is nice, a little on the sweet side.
the gravy is ok, just the right thickness, but personally, a little too fine for me. I prefer crunchier gravy.
overall, not bad.
:thankyou: for a good recommendation. -
who moved my mee chiang kuay?
I had not been to bedok south for a while. I went there last week end to buy breakfast, only to find my favourite mee chiang kuay stall, the one in the coffeeshop next to the hawker centre in bedok south, disappeared !
ended up trying the stall in the hawker center :skeptical:
any one know where they have shifted to or know where else got sell good mee chiang kuay in bedok \\ marine parade area?

hi cantbearit2,
i like Blk 85 FengShan's Chan BBQ stingray and sotong.. and the peanut soup.. and the pork porridge.. and the δΊι¦..
but my HB say Chan BBQ dun taste as nice as they used to.. so we seldom go there now..
They have not change and they are as good as before. The Chilli is still the same. I still eat at Chan BBQ very often.
