If i remember it's about $3300 to $3400 for 40 sessions. 1hr per session. S$85/lesson.

Whereas brainfit roughly works out to be S$43++ to S$55++ per lesson depending on the number of session u opt for. (Taking into all discounts)
Both include pre/post test...however, details will have to check w them.

Wow, that is expensive! Is this different from Shichido and Little Neuro Tree? I am not too sure of the names, but my nieces go for all these brain development progs..I am a bit 😐 about them. Do they work? I mean we pay so much, must make sure its really good. But then again if they are really good, then when I have my third child, I will put him or her through it :rubhands: Can give some feedback on how effective they are?

      Hi Hi

Well, my son will finish his 20 sessions this week and after that, he'll have another evaluation. will share with you more when I get them.

From my perspective, conceptually, its sound and there are research finding which backs the programs. their pre-program evaluation of my son is pretty spot on. So far, I do notice that my son is showing some improvement in his listening skills. πŸ˜„

You may wanna have a read from this book by Norman Doidge - The Brain that Changes itself.
heard they(singapore brain) do test like phonics, colour reading(e.g: blue. this is read as 'red' not blue) , direction reading, number tracking, memorisation etc. very 'counter top' based whereas brainfit= computer games. They (spore brain) will increase the speed once the student is able to clear the first stage. Parent need to supervise closely and do 'homework' w kids thus one will see great results.... wonder how true :? however, it is super x, need to commit 10mths. GabyEn, how is your kid doing in brainfit? Do they have facillitator to work w the kid or just using the computer? Thanks! πŸ˜‰

Mind if I ask how expensive it is?

          Hi

Am not sure of their other programs @ BF (Brainfit), as my son is currently doing the SMART Listening, which is computer based. I believe most the programs are computer based. As a child progresses, he will move up different levels. As I understand, different computer programs will target different parts of the brain.

At each of his session, he does have a facilitator present.

The pre-program assessment is $380, but got a discount of $30 because I attended the parent workshop. This amount can be offset against the package which you take up later. For my case, I took up 20 sessions for my son. He's at the tail end of it already. Paid about S$1100k+

So far, I do notice some changes in him. He takes instructions better. Previously if I give him say, 2-3 steps instructions, he'll get everything all mixed up. He also appears to be asking less questions when he does his homework. Usually even before he attempts the questions, he'll be asking for help already.

But of course, we still need to wait for the assessment after the 20 sessions to see if there is any improvement.

If you are interested, perhaps you can consider attending one of their upcoming parent workshops in Oct.

          Cheers
Thanks for the feedback, is the parents workshop in Oct free?

my boy cant write at 4 years old. his letters float up and down the line. cant stay on the line. quite a lot of mirror images. cant even hold the pencil correctly. his arm would be above the paper.

after he attend the brainfit’s revamp program, his handwriting improved a lot - can write on the line, and write on those triple line bks. and later developed the ability and interest to draw. all bcos his visual motor improved!

                      hi,

Any mummies have any more feedback or update of results from Brainfit or SBDC? I’m considering to enrol my child in either 1.

                        Hey Mommies

Remember I shared earlier that my boy did 20 sessions with them & was waiting for the post-prog evaluation?

Well, guess what?! Before I did the evaluation from the studio, he had his SA2 results...the improvement was tremendous!

He has not been passing his chinese lang since P3 and since this year has been assigned to foundation chinese and still failing. Believe me his grades are single digits. Well he shocked all of us with a 80% for chinese this term!!

Showed more than 50% improvement across all subjects and even got awarded Best Effort in class for his results!

The only thing we did during this term was the SMART Listening prog and no change in home tutor.

My son himself did share that he finds learning less challenging in class, & even his form teacher noted in his report book that he is a happier child this semester!

Well, I just signed him up for another 20 sessions on listening & another 20 for Smart Moves for the holidays.

Do check out their parent workshops. Of course each child has different milestones but to me, its worth it. The results really boosted my son's confidence & ours!

                        Cheers! πŸ˜„
