Is it 'lucky' to have both boys and girls? I thot it be better to get same gender kids since you can share clothes, share toys, share bedroom... save a lot of money

Yes thats there but as a parents if we have different gender then we can enjoy being parents to both of them... i think as much as one enjoy dressing up the girls then cannot enjoy the boys and as much as one enjoy the things with boys cannot with girls so each gender has their own nice things and to have enjoyment of both worlds should have different gender...

Wife will prefer 1 girl so that she can doll her up and take her to shopping
Husband will perfer both of the same gender to save money

i prefer different gender de... I got 3 kids and all boys! So u see, we gamble and lose... Since first one, we wanted a gal already! My DW prefer gal for obvious reason... I prefer gal for hidden reason...my DW need someone to shop w her and i'm not the best of companion... And true enough, DS1 and DS2 also inherited my gene and definitely not shopper.
Morale of story is don't try to gamble for gender... Accept what you already have.

Well I am biased towards girls as well. Not for the dolling up part or shopping since I am not a fan of either. But more because I always felt thta girls more éęę and chances of them being closer to each other and to us when they are older is higher. Or maybe simply cos I come from a family of all girls. Hehe.
Sometimes, I see a family with 2 girls and the girls are giggling and sharing a toy or a book, it seems so sweet. Can imagine them sharing secrets with each other, confiding in each other their crushes and their heartbreaks. Kinda like me and my sisters I guess.
I have a girl and a boy now. My boy shows every sign of being a SNAG and my girl, well TROUBLE, haha. But still too young to say lah.
Love them both to bits, love every aspect of their girliness or boyishness (umm though not necessarily exhibited by the respective gender at times
).
If I am granted #3, I don't care whether boy or girl, both equally welcomed.
