Whenever I go out with my elder boy, he will carry whatever I buy. Told him I hv suffered enough carrying his stuff, now it's pay back time :celebrate: -

The reality of our education system is such that Academic will always be the MAIN Key Metric to access Schools. Though ranking are currently not published, internally it is still rank because they need metrics to measure.markfch:
I recalled being delighted when I saw that PH's PSLE results for 2009. Those were big, big improvements over previous yrs which I'm sure is due in no small part to the new principal's leadership.
I was told the ex-principal cared more for holistic development n neglected academic targets.
But academic success also comes with a price. The challenge is to minimise damage to some pupils' belief in themselves.
School are rank, teachers are rank and majority of the time .. RESULTS are use as a measure.
As for PERI, php you do not have to work hard to win people over
It WILL be implemented, whether parents or teachers or principal like it or not. -

Principal won't be leaving at least for the next 3-4 years...so we have to bear with her lack of friendliness
Even with KPIs to meet, I'm sure the act of smiling should still be remembered :? Maybe for a HOT school like Pei Hwa, there is no need to show any friendliness since balloting is required for those staying within 1km.
I was told that P1s or P4s should be using assessment books 1 level above to improve :?: For English synthesis, I find that teachers are using some of the connectors from P5 assessment book. -

U R Right on this point.
School are rank, teachers are rank and majority of the time ..
Have spoken to some teachers, and they have lamented that the school has a ranking system in place too! :!:
If fall below certain Grade, No Chance of Salary Adjustment / Bonus at Year End, Let Alone Promotion, etc ....
- and this is ALL control by \"ONE\" Almighty Hand in PH ....
Better Obey, Or Else .....
