To excel in maths, mental conditioning is critical. Hve plenty of sleep and relax the day before exam.
Imagine having to tackle problem sums in PSLE under exam condition. -

Hi keroppi,English creative writing course is also in my plans but unless it's a miracle course, I really doubt 6 weeks can make a difference. I am also wondering if I should consider making it a full year commitment (up to PSLE) but I can't imagine having to send him there every week ...!
Have your shortlisted any centre for Creative Writing? Any suggestion? -
Hifive:
Not yet. I'm still asking around for recommendation. Will let you know when I have decided. :celebrate:

Yes, agreed.
On the contrary, ds sleeps very early this year, but he fumble, due to mental stage at that moment.
So sad, but thank goodness its only pri five.

DS wrote out of point for his SA2 CL compo Not sure of marks yet as his school never reveal compo marks - only give out paper 2 marks and we can calculate oral+compo+listening compre lump together from marks in report book. We are worried this will pull down his overall CL marks badly. Really praying and hoping for the best.
Hi LeanneLeanne:
Hi Brenda,
In this case, this boy is very lucky, he still gets 28 marks.
Leanne
That's good. As such have to very careful in either EL Compo. or CL Compo. otherwise immediately 32 marks fly off.
I think the 28 marks is more likely for \"side-track\" type of compo, not the \"out-of-point\" compo. There are difference between \"side track\" - you start on right track but end up distracted and wrong emphasis on the way - vs \"out-of-point\" - misinterpret the compo title and give totally wrong content. -
Hello Pen88n
Whatever it is , its over.Maybe its good to make the mistake in pri five then in psle.In psle, there is no return. But, in pri five, take it as a checkpoing.

Hi Leanne
Recd the CL Paper 2. DD was so careless that wrote 3 wrong words and caused 1.5 marks deducted in her 2nd portion.
She is 3 marks below the top in the level for this CL P2, as such she was :x of her own mistakes.
No choice but just ask her to be more alert and careful in the future. -
Yes, each wrong word written in compre is half mark each.In mid year, ds went thr that too.
Its ok, its pri five...not psle.Move on
