comfy, i don't think it is a very difficult decision where to send your dd to..IJJ:
I have not decided yet, anyone any suggestion which gep sch to send my dd to?
If you ask me, stay in PH!!!
You will sure miss us!
4 schools within this area, NYPS, NHPS, RGPS and HPPS. probably yr dd will have to consider the school culture, CCA programmes and others.. and whether yr dd will be continuing her HCL... i believe distance is not a problem for you at all....this is much easier as compare to P1 registration...
Not easy for me, I think P1 registration is much much easier as DH make the decision. Now, dd has experienced lifestyle and gain much affection from certain teachers and friends, it rather difficult for her and me to choose. DH leaves it to her and me. Today, she says that 50% of her thinking is staying put in PH. Now really a big big headache to choose as you have stated 4 schools. If it is your child, which would you choose? :?:
I worry that NYPS might be too tough, RGS - never try a all girl school, NHPS - has bad feedback and Henry Park - hear have to stay back for quite a no. of days/wk. -
CONFIRMED. All P1 Classes will be moving to P2 according to the P1 classes. No Streaming.

All GEP has the same syllabus .. so school is more of your preference in the culture and suitabllility of your dd personality. -

This is good news. When dd is in P1 going to P2, there are mcuh stress and tension among parents. So I actually prefer my dd to stay in the same class for P2 and really get to know their classmates. She enjoys helping the weaker stds.

Personally, I like RGPS's culture but might not be able to get in as it is not a SAP school (lower priority).comfy:

if your dd is moving on, apart from religion, the most best match-fix in term of school culture is NYPS. -

Helping the weaker students is a good way of learning. Its imprinted the knowledge more firmly in the brain.Trapwithin:

He improved but the downside was that boy loved to punch her arm. I told my dd to εΏ and be patient with him. He did change after a while. Haha.comfy:

Of all the sentences you've to pick on that one. Php, you're trapped :rotflmao:php:
Congrats comfy...what to paisay... u should feel proud of yr dd....
would you like to share with us how u and yr dd did in preparation of GEP exam? you and yr dd are our role models now...haha....
we have 14 from CH, maybe another fews from FA, GR, HO & others..
so PHPPS will lose about 20+, almost 1 GEP class...i think most GEP schools have 2 GEP classes per level and about 25 students per class.
the principal would definitely feel sad... losing so many gifted kids to other schools and who know, maybe one of them will be the future top PSLE scholar....
Wow php .. start preparing for GEP liao

I think this new direction will reduce the stress level of all involved by 50%, including that of the parents.
