So Goldhill one is no more…how sad. East Coast is definitely out of the way for me.
Oh well…back to GWC… -

Didn't know they serve good desserts. Are they at the cold storage side or the other side of shop houses? You can try Galbiati at 400 Upper Bukit Timah Road The Rail Mall Singapore

I like their desserts. They serve per cup and do take aways. Their apple pie is nice too.
Happy eating! -
Have a safe trip LKVM.

In our household of non-coffee drinkers, I will have to figure out how to make coffee first!! -

But you guys!
Kahlúa is coffee-flavored liqueur.
It’s alcohol content is at least 20%.
Given that’s not as high as rum/brandy. -

Know that...that's why I said that lady friend killed 2 birds with 1 stone by using Kahlua to replace BOTH coffee and rum.But you guys!

But since she didn't use coffee, she used quite a fair amount of Kahlua to soak up the lady fingers. Definitely more than the 3 tablespoons which the recipe called for. Maybe that's why it gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling after eating??

I usually make 2 different batches. For kids and non-kopi drinkers, just omit the coffee and kahlua. Did that when the girls were much younger. Also, I find replacing the coffee/espresso with cocoa/milo is just as good too. The mascapone cheese, sugar and cocoa/milo blends nicely with each other and I find that the taste it not lost.
Now that the girls are older, I add a bit a kahlua for the taste and oomph factor. Of course not too much lah to make them \"mar-bok\"
