              Hi smurf,
Read in other threads that some parents are interested in SPI bags so I thought I would inform the others about the SPI sale, not promoting for them.
Ya, the price may be a bit steep but considering the ergonomic features and durability, it's worth it. DD1 used her SPI bag for 3 years before trading in for a new one. She could have continued using the bag if she wanted to but she found the design too childish. Both DDs prefer SPI bags. They like the contours of the bags and how the bags sit nicely on their backs. I guess it's up to individual preference. 😄
Nowadays, our kids' bags can be quite heavy so hopefully, with the ergonomic features, it can somewhat help their spines. Just my 2cents worth.

Does anyone know if CCAs will be conducted on Saturday for primary schools or it will be only conducted on weekdays?

Oh, thought why SPI so popular...so it's quite a quality bag? Was trying to decided whether to get the SPI or the pacific bookstore ergo bag...but ds is only p1, and the PAC bookstore bag is only $29.90, (original $69.90). So we decided to buy this. 😄

Maybe wait until he knows how to treasure his things first...haha...

:thankyou: for the info. I upgraded my son's bag from Small to Large in P3 and the bag is still in good condition. I like the pencil case...the one which has pencil holders on the top and deep space to hold eraser/short ruler and scissors.

Agree, will consider the SPI bag when DS is older. Anyway, the school has a locker for him and we are fetching him to and fro.

Hubby told me the principal is a very approachable and warm lady…motherly sort. She advised parents to get school bags which are light (without books inside) as well as light pencil cases.

I’ve emailed the principal on several occasions and she replied me promptly and in a warm manner. Glad to have a principal who is not the ‘high and mighty, do-not-touch-me’ type.

She told parents to start the kids on reading this holiday before P1 begins.
