If it is in His Nature - Notice How He \"REVERT-ed\" Back to His Old-Self Soon Enough ....

No Need to Break His Rice Bowl - lah!!!!
He's Not Really a Bad Sort, Just Not Very \"Teach-Able\" ....

Not going to break his rice bowl straight away 😉
But for a teacher to behave this way is bad example for the kids.
Other professions can give more chance but not those that teach our next generation.

After few days accompanying son in the hospital, I realized some professions require lots of dedication. Nurses and doctors. They must really be caring and that dedication...comes from the heart. It is not a job...there must be genuine concern for patients. Same goes for teaching. Of course, with everyday routine, it's hard to show compassion. But since one has chosen to be in that industry, there is a need for consistency.

My son was bleeding from a laceration right inside the gum after the op...the 2 incompetent doctors came to see him in the ward, pat son's head and left :x Fortunately a nurse trained in cleft/plastic came to see him later and she was the one who stopped the bleeding. She was the one who called the incompetent doctor to return to the hospital, ordered the drip and use a special gel to stop the bleeding. If not for her, this case might be in the newspapers. I am truly grateful to her.

I don’t know whether all P3 parents are aware of this. I didn’t attend the session but according to one of my friends, she said that the P3 stds are going to stream according to their Math scores. Not EL, as she said marks too close, not CL - marks too far apart, SC - didn’t even consider this subj. Left Math as it has a more wider score spectrum. And true enough, my dd’s class has a Math test today.( no warning to parents at all :x ), exam over and suddenly before school closed has to sit for such test. A real damper! to some kids. This P really needs to sit down and think wisely before implementing something like this which impact every level. I don’t know whether other classes have such test.
came back from the meeting with P. S-banding may not be carried out because most of the top classes parents against it. so there will be normal 4 top classes(1-40, 41-80 and so on).

Thanks S6169 for info. Back to square one for class allocation? I quite like the proposed method actually. It's a good change. P2 parents were more receptive last Fri evening.

reason given by the parents:
1. friends will be separate.
2. one of the mummy gave an example: One Ds in Ch3 and one DS in Fa2. although Ch and Fa are only next door, but the student in these two classes are very different. one only talk about study and the other always talk about cartoons. So they can't be mixed.
I personally do not agree with the 2 reasons.

In life we are bound to experience separations, making new friends, & learning to respect & accept people's preferences. And I would think primary school is the best place where we should encourage kids to start cultivate such life skills.

When they grow up, there would bound to have opportunity to experience separations etc. From my own experience, I am able to have good memory of my primary school as I have the same friends for the 5 whole years. Can't imagine nowadays, friends change every year.

Put in that aspect is more understandable now 😛

But I recall last time I still get to mix/play with friends from other classes too. Before/after school & during recess time as well 🙂 though, i cant recall how we managed to do so much during that schort recess period...

yes, she said that yesterday. there will be M1, M2, M3, and M4 (next year P4). actually, she also very confused about these ranking system during the meeting and always turn back and checked with the assitant.
Any other P3 classes had the math test today? will go back and check with my ds.
