Hi Lock,
I share the same sentiment with you.
My dd has no tuition and we rely on the drilling from teachers and supp classes.
Rest assured as your kid goes higher up, he/she will get more worksheets as homework, more time spent in the school not only on supp lesson but also various activities.
The "prefect" duty is one of the exciting activities in the school. -
Lock:
I thought I saw 4 names under each school - RI, NY, HCI...Ya. Very impressed with Rulang's achievement in 2010. And we were also very impressed when the sch announced last yr top 20 PSLE scorers and found out all went to top schs; namely RGS, Nanyang Girls' RI and HCI (the most number of students went to RI). I forgot the exact number. ttyh, do u have the numbers?

And oh....the RI student from Rulang, speaks much much better than the GOH....!!

In 2009, 20 students from Rulang got PLSE score >= 270, better than some of GEP school. -

Seriously, please advice if you would say that P1 and P2 was a breeze? Thanks.
But next yr will be tough. All the cream crops in 3H.
I attended the 80th speech day this morning.
I guess this yr's best class is also 3H cos all the highest marks (ENglish, Science, Chinese, Tamil, Malay...) came from 3H!
Sweat......
So 3H is the best class in that level.
Yeah, P3 has Science as well.. more challenges.. jia you jia you to your DS and U!!
Please do update us frequently on the challenges, school's ways and effectiveness of your coaching methods etc etc -
RRMummy:
At the end of p2, selection starts. Those excellent ones will go 3H, followed by 3G, 3F etc.Seriously, please advice if you would you say that P1 and P2 was a breeze?

School works are manageable but be prepared for sudden 'projects'.
Exam papers difficulty levels are ok too..... if you load your ds/dd frequently with past yrs papers/assessment books. -

How heavy is the daily workload? I'm trying to figure out how to ease my DD into the routine of daily work if required...
We've only just started working on some CA papers. But one only every night... she finds doing it fun, but dislikes the checking part..
what is your advice on the appropriate amount of practice?
