This news shocked me bad :!: Why are the children so violent these days, as young as 7 years old?

      Primary 1 student attacked by 5 classmatesEdvantage | Mon Nov 22 2010

They kicked and punched him after he asked them to stop calling him names.
A student suffered a bruise and scratches after being kicked, and punched by his classmates in a school last week, reported the New Paper.

While the injuries in the latest bullying incident may seem trivial, what raised eyebrows is that the boy and his attackers were only seven.

The primary 1 student ran out of the school crying after the attack, and was missing for two hours before he was finally found.

He claimed he was often taunted in school, and called names like \"loser\" and \"idiot\", but this is the worst attack so far. In July, the Sunday Times reported that bullying has become a growing concern among educators here.

The school is currently investigating how the fight started and will transfer the boy to another class next year. But his mother told The New Paper her son is still traumatised by the incident.

This is very shocking and very sad to see that the ‘age of bullying’ has become younger and younger - the same as unwanted pregnancies!! :!:

Perhaps all these are the consequence as we are too driven toward academy 😞

Usually primary schools are more ‘forgiving’ towards students due to their age. being 7 years old, I doubt the punishment will be anything serious.

Yes, in my opinion, I think the school will just call up the parents and speak to them.

So, what is the predominant sentiment here then? At 7 y.o. should the bullies be punished severely, or given some form of counselling and cut some slack?
