We too attended the Open house on Saturday. We also had opportunity to mix with rest of the Sec 1 aspirants ;> I was surprised to see students & their parents from most of the Primary schools in the North. I was very impressed with the CCAs. Yishun Town seems to be No1 among the secondary schools @ North.

For CCAs both students from Express, Normal & Normal (technical) all would be grouped together. There has been previous incidents of \"ragging\" & bullying....My main worry is about safety of our children. :roll:

I went to their open house last yr. My girl & I were impressed with their auditorium, canteen food & uniform.


I think for CCAs, all schs don’t separate express, NA & NT students.

I find the talk (She was Science teacher) very marketing oriented. The performances (except band) were very informal, barefooted at the parade square.

Hi there again,

This year, the open house was conducted by the Vice Principal, Mrs Tan and she will be the Principal this Dec 15. We did not watch other performances except walking around the school to get a feel besides the open house communication.

Anyone having their children studying @ Yishun Town for Sec 1 for 2011?

Okay… Im not a student from YTSS. But i would say YTSS is one of the best school you can get in the North and I somewhat live in Yishun too. By the information I got from my Primary School friends who now studies in YTSS said that there are happy with the live there.

I also attended their Open House last year. The location of the school is good. Quite near to the Yishun Bus Interchange and MRT station. Their CCAs is not bad. But some of their CCAs just started, so the CCA might not be of competition standard.
But overall YTSS can be considered as 1st for most students ( except for some really clever students who can go famous school.)

Just to end this up. Im a student of CHS, just helping parents who need helps on secondary school.
