Most people typically get the subject combination they desire unless their grades do not make the cut. For instance, to get your desired subject combination in RJC, you need to have a minimum GPA of 3.2 in Year 4 in RGS/RI. If you're referring to subject combinations at Year 3, again, most people get the combination they desire - for my year, everyone got what they chose.lead to better JCs, doesn't mean u will do better in that school
and the word \"better JC\" is subjective to individual
due to very keen competition, one may not even get the subj combi which one desires -

Great! DS also having learning difficulties, attending Dylexia sessions. Great to know that there are parents out there going through same things, and still proud of their kids. DS is top 10 in P1 this year in his school, counting from bottom.... Yet still proud of him

There is a place for everyone.
Kudos to all parents who are proud of their children, unconditionally, no matter what :celebrate:
my ds is also top 10 in P1 in his class this year, counting from bottom... and he is a normal child...
no sweat, just have to make the learning journey interesting and enjoyable. I told him that he has to learn more things next year as he will be in P2!

then should i put dunman as my first, then second cedar, third mgs, fourth chij st nics?
where do you stay? your choice of schs are like all over spore. although it is ok to travel longer distances when you go to sec sch, going to a nearer sch is still better as you really save a lot of time. the hours in sec sch are also long with cca, etc etc. -

Hi, I have one qn.
If we do not indicate my sonโs affiliated school which is SJI as his 1st choice and indicated as 3rd of 4th choice.
And in the event, he failed to get into his 1st or 2nd choice school will MOE allocate him to SJI as he is meets the cut off point.
Can someone advise???

MOE Will allocate him to SJI as third choice if he meets the non-affiliated cutoff point. -

Need your advice on the appeal process. How does it work and when is the best time to do it?Don't mean to be a wet blanket, but it is a bit difficult with 255 to get into DHS and NJC, but you can try though or even appeal after that, but that is another story altogether. So what I am trying to say is that you are taking a risk by putting DHS and NJC as your first and second choice and eventually, you may or may not get into Cedar, since you are likely to loose out to someone who put Cedar as her first choice.
My advice is to put Cedar as your first choice, since you are almost guaranteed a place there and then see how things go on Posting Day and make an appeal for DHS or NJC, depending on the COP then. Just my two cents worth as that is what I would do if you were my daughter. But bear in mind that the appeal procedure can be very stressful and tedious. -

I stay near serangoon. DH is pretty okay as my sister previously studied at CCHMS, which is pretty near DH, so, yeah. Cedar shouldnt be much of a problem too. MGS is not bad, which i mean the standard.thebigapple:
